The reporting party stated that they had received a call from a restricted number stating that they had a warrant for their arrest for failing to appear for jury duty in a federal case. They were also texted multiple official looking images of paperwork labeled “Department of Justice” in an attempt to make things look more valid. The person on the phone then ordered the reporting party to pay $15,000 to the local Sheriff’s Officer to avoid being arrested.
