Assistant Chief
Ogden is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 169 and U.S. Route 30. Several thousand travelers pass by and through our community every day. Ogden has two full-time officers and contracts a third shift with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
Our department was established to provide for the preservation of the peace and enforcement of Iowa law and City Ordinances within the corporate limits of the city of Ogden.
The Iowa Sex Offender Registry became law on July 1, 1995 and is found in Chapter 692A Code of Iowa. Click here to search the Iowa offender database.
About the Police Chief
Police Chief Ethan Bailey was sworn into office on February 7th, 2023, following in the footsteps of his father, Mickey Bailey, who retired as Police Chief after 35 years of service with the City of Ogden on December 31st, 2022.
