Police Report 9/26 - 10/2/2022
Monday, September 26, 2022
- 9:45 AM. Ogden resident reported that someone has been taking the garbage out of the garbage can sitting by the residence.
- 11:20 AM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 2:12 PM. The officer received a complaint of a 5th-wheel flatbed trailer parked on city property. The officer notified the person who was using the trailer to move as soon as possible.
- 2:18 PM. The officer noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 400 block of E. Walnut Street. The officer stopped the vehicle at J Avenue and 216th. The officer cited the driver, Kenneth Benedict, 65, of Fort Dodge, for Driving Under Suspension and Fraudulent Use of Registration. Benedict was cited and released, but the vehicle he was driving was towed.

- 8:33 AM. The officer received a complaint from an Ogden resident about a stray kitten in his yard that looked sick. The officer picked up the kitten and transported it to the Boone Area Humane Society.
- 1:18 PM. The officer met with the Ogden resident at the Ogden Police Department. The resident had questions about retrieving property she had loaned to a friend.

- 8:32 AM Officer investigated a theft of a grave marker at 618 219th St.
- 2:59 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 102 W. Veterans St.

- 8:36 AM. The officer assisted a subject with a suspicious activity complaint.
- 8:47 AM. The officer checked on a possible stranded motorist in the 100 block of SE 3rd St. Driver was ok.
- 9:58 AM. The officer checked on a disabled vehicle in the 600 block of 216th St. The Driver will get the vehicle moved later.
- 1:27 PM. The officer assisted a stranded motorist at Casey’s.
- 3:35 PM. The officer investigated a complaint of a reckless driver in the Ogden area. The officer located the vehicle, and it was already parked, and no one was around.
- 7:28 PM. The deputy investigated a complaint of trespassing at 225 N. 1st. The deputy spoke to all involved parties.

- 8:55 AM. The officer found a water main leak in the 400 block of S. 1st St. The Officer notified Public Works of the problem.
- 8:55 AM. The officer assisted a lost motorist in the 400 block of S. 1st St.
- 9:13 AM. The officer assisted a lost motorist in the 300 block of West Walnut St.
- 11:01 AM. The officer received a complaint of a reckless driver that had occurred the day before.
