Police Report 9/1 - 9/10/2023

Friday, September 1, 2023
- 7:39 AM. The officer took a report of the sounds of shots fired coming from the SE part of town. It was discovered that this was dove hunters south of the city limits.
- 9:16 AM. The officer took a nuisance complaint in the 300 block of SE 4th St. The suspect was contacted, and the nuisance was abated.
- 11:25 AM. The officer assisted with investigating a report of a suspicious male in the 700 block of 216th Dr. The male was a transient and apologized for any disturbance he may have caused and went on his way.
- 3:22 PM. The officer took a report of harassment in the 500 block of S 1st St. The investigation is ongoing.
- 3:59 PM. The officer took a parking complaint in the 400 block of W Division St.
- 5:23 PM. The officer assisted with checking the welfare of a subject near 220th St and D Ave. The driver was fine.
- 7:19 PM. The officer located a subject in need of medical care in the 200 block of E Mulberry St.
- 9:34 PM. The officer investigated a car alarm going off in the 400 block of SE 2nd St. It was determined to be a mechanical issue, and the owner was going to fix it.

Saturday, September 2, 2023
- 9:19 PM. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of W Cherry St. It was determined to be a verbal dispute only, and both parties were separated for the night.

Tuesday September 5, 2023
- 8:55 AM. The officer investigated a report of a suspicious male near the area of NW 7th St. and W Maple St. The Officer was unable to locate anyone matching the description.
- 3:32 PM. The officer returned a phone call regarding a civil issue on Facebook.
- 4:49 PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of SW 9th St.
- 9:31 PM. The officer took a report of a lost dog. The owner was eventually identified, and the dog was returned by the citizen who found it.

Wednesday September 6, 2023
- 11:07 AM. The officer was notified of a possible narcotics violation in the 700 block of W Division. After an investigation, it was determined that the allegation was unfounded.
- 12:59 PM. The officer conducted a civil standby in the 300 block of W Sycamore St.

Thursday, September 7, 2023
- 3:32 PM. The officer and Deputy investigated a reported burglary in the 100 block of SW 4th St. The Officer contacted both the suspect and reporting party and discovered that this was a misunderstanding. No crime.

Friday, September 8, 2023
- 7:54 AM. The officer provided a vehicle unlock in the 700 block of W Division St.
- 3:27 PM. The officer investigated a motor vehicle collision in the 700 block of W Division St. An information exchange was conducted.
- 5:15 PM. The officer conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of E Division St. The subject was found to be okay.
- 8:30 PM. The officer investigated an unoccupied vehicle with an open door in the 500 block of W Elm St. It was determined that there was no crime, as the owner’s child had accidentally left it open.
