Police Report 9/11 - 9/17/2017

Monday, September 11, 2017
- 11:20 AM. The officer received a report of a missing dog. The dog was located by its owner.
- 1:02 PM. The officer received a complaint of an open door. The officer checked the building everything was ok.
- 1:45 PM. The officer assisted a Department of Human Services worker with a court-ordered pick-up order for a juvenile.

Tuesday, September 12, 2017
- 3:30 AM. The officer received a complaint of a loose animal in the 100 block of West Veterans.  An employee of Caseys had caught a kitten that was running loose.  The subject was going to take the kitten to the Boone Area Humane Society later in the morning.
- 10:39 AM.  The officer assisted Boone County Deputy and Ogden Fire Department with an accident in the 700 block of D Avenue.
- 12:49 PM.  The officer returned a phone call to an Ogden resident regarding a phone scam.
- 12:52 PM.  The officer assisted an officer from Story City PD in locating an Ogden resident.

Wednesday, September 13, 2017
- 1:40. PM.  Ogden resident reported that a female subject in a car talked inappropriately to her teenage son and his friends, while they were walking down the street.  The officer spoke with the offending party and she denied saying anything wrong.  The officer advised her to be careful what she says to people.
- 6:28PM.  An Ogden resident called to report that she was bitten by what appears to be a sick squirrel.  She was trying to remove the squirrel from her yard when it bit her.  The officer was able to catch the squirrel and will see if it can be taken anywhere for testing.  Iowa State Veterinary College said they do not test for rabies, but suggested that the subject take POST-Rabies Vaccination.

Thursday, September 14, 2017
- 8:53 AM.  Jake Ludwig, a student at Ogden High School, reported that someone had hit the side of his truck and left without notifying him.  There was approximately $500.00 in damage to the truck.
- 9:18 AM.  Ogden resident reported that her credit card had been fraudulently used.
- 7:11 PM.  The officer responded to Ogden High School regarding a verbal argument between a male and female juvenile.  There were no charges filed.
- 10:03 PM.  The officer located an open car door in the 100 block of SE 2nd.  The officer notified the owner of the vehicle.

Friday, September 15, 2017
- 2:00 PM.  Reggie Gordon called to report that he is missing 2 cats; 1 is tortoise colored and the other has long gray hair with a white face and 4 white paws.
- 6:56 PM.  Clinton Mantz reported the theft of the yard motion light from his residence at 506 W Sycamore.
- 7:23 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 10:34 PM.  The officer assisted the Ogden Fire Department with a vehicle fire at 220 NE 4th Street.

Saturday, September 16, 2017
- 10:34 AM.  The officer spoke with the subject regarding the camper parked over the sidewalk.  The subject advised they were cleaning out the camper and would get moved as soon as they were done.
- 7:52 PM.  The owner of Spinning Wheels Skating Rink called for a Deputy regarding several juveniles who were acting up and would not leave.  The juveniles were gone upon the Deputy’s arrival.

Sunday, September 17, 2017
- 10:30 AM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a resident who had fallen and cut her head at Accura Health Care.
- 3:58 PM.  The officer removed an opossum from a garage at 308 SW 7th Street Place.
- 8:47 PM.  The deputy received a complaint of a dog running loose in the 200 block of W Sycamore Street.
