Monday, August 30, 2021
- 11:43 AM. The officer assisted with a funeral escort.
- 3:39 PM. The officer investigated a reckless driver complaint in the 1100 block of G. Ave.
Tuesday, August 31, 2021
- 2:39 PM. The officer received a complaint of a silver Ford Escort driving recklessly in an alley south of Elm between NW 6th and NW 7th Street.
- 2:49 PM. The officer received a report of 2 dogs that had got loose from the fenced-in backyard at 231 SE 2nd Street and bit a dog that was at 232 SE 2nd Street. The dog that was bit had minor injuries.
Wednesday, September 1, 2021
- 10:30. AM. Ogden resident reported that someone had attempted to get unemployment using her identity.
- 12:40PM. The officer received a complaint that the siren on NW 3rd Street was malfunctioning. Ogden Municipal Utilities employees checked on the siren and are working to correct the problem.
- 6:54 PM. The officer assisted Boone County Deputies with a trespassing issue.
Thursday, September 2, 2021
- 5:55 AM. Ogden officer and Boone County Deputy responded to a report of flashing lights at a residence in Ogden. The reporting party thought the owners were not at home, and this seemed suspicious. The officer and Deputy contacted the owner, who was at home, and everything was okay. There must have been an issue with the light bulbs on the side of the house that caused it to flicker.
- 7:15 AM. The officer received a complaint about a vehicle that was parked in 2 parking stalls. The officer called the owner of the vehicle and left a message to call the officer back.
- 8:45 AM. The officer received a complaint of a kitten running at large that looked sick. The officer set a live trap for the kitten.
- 3:45 PM. The officer received a complaint of a jet-ski trailer parked partially in an alley.
- 5:12 PM. The officer spoke with two individuals about riding electric bikes on the sidewalk.
- 5:17 PM. The officer spoke with an individual who tried to hit one of the individuals riding the electric bikes while they passed him walking on the sidewalk.
Friday, September 3, 2021
- 10:15 AM. The officer returned a call to the Department of Human Service Caseworker regarding a sexual assault that was reported that occurred approximately one year ago in Ogden.
- 12:30 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
- 3:00 PM. The officer assisted Boone County Deputy, looking for 2-motorcycles that were reportedly driving at high rates of speed and cutting other motorists off. The officer stopped the vehicles in the 700 block of 220th Street and talked to them about the complaint.
Saturday, September 4, 2021
- 11:55 AM. The officer received a report of an abandoned vehicle on private property.
The officer filled out the proper paperwork and gave it to the property owner to be
mailed to the last registered owner.
Sunday, September 5, 2021
- 7:03 AM. The officer spoke with an Ogden resident about cleaning up weeds around the property.
- 7:18 AM. The officer responded to an Ogden residence regarding a bat in the house. The officer was unable to locate the bat.
- 1:18 PM. The officer cited Talton Toney, 45, of Lamoni, for Driving Under Suspension. The officer allowed Toney to call someone to come and drive him so his vehicle would not have to be towed.
- 4:26 PM. The deputy removed a bat from Ogden's residence.
- 10:45 PM. The deputy received a complaint from an Ogden resident that she had caught a cat running at large, and when she tried to call the owner’s phone number that was on the tag, she received no answer. The deputy made contact with the owner, and she came to get the cat.
