Police Report 8/28 - 9/10/2017
Monday, August 28, 2017
- 8:00 AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputies, Ogden First Responders, Ogden Fire Department, and Boone County Ambulance with a single-vehicle accident involving personal injury at H Avenue and 190th Street.
- 9:25 AM. The officer assisted Black Hills Energy Employees with traffic control at the site where a gas line had been hit by contractors. There were no injuries and the line was repaired by early afternoon.

- 4:49 PM. The deputy observed limbs in the traveled portion of the road from a subject who was dragging tree branches to the City brush pile. The deputy advised the subject to pick up what had fallen from his load.
Wednesday, August 30, 2017
- 2:24 AM. The deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden High School. This was determined to be a bat flying around inside the building.
- 2:55 PM. The officer spoke with residents of 331 E Mulberry and 332 E Walnut regarding a complaint filed by both parties over a property line issue.
- 8:29 PM. An employee of Casey’s General Store requested a Deputy check on the subject who was sitting in a car in the parking lot and appeared to be hitting himself. Deputies checked on the individual and had a family member come and pick him up.

- 12:05 PM. The officer assisted a stranded motorist at 331 SE 2nd St.
- 2:47 PM. The officer arrested Frederick Shelton, 52, of Ogden for alleged Domestic Abuse assault at 305 E. Walnut St.
- 9:38. PM. Deputy assisted Ogden First responders at 822 N. 1st St.
- 10:51PM. The deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 200 block of West Division St.

- 1:15 PM. The officer did a civil standby at 305 E Walnut St.
- 3:20 PM. The officer spoke to an Ogden resident regarding a property question.
- 4:35 PM. The officer received a complaint of a possible no-contact order violation.
- 5:23 PM. The deputy investigated a complaint of harassment at 326 SW 2nd St.
- 5:31 PM. The deputy investigated a complaint of a no-contact order violation.
- 6:14 PM. The deputy responded to an animal complaint at 420 NW 5th St.
- 8:43 PM. The deputy investigated a possible no-contact order violation.

- 6:51 PM. The deputy investigated a theft from the 100 block of West Walnut St.

- 11:50 AM. The officer received a report of 2 small girls on bicycles riding in the traveled portion of the road just north of Elm Street on the 1st. The officer was unable to locate the girls.
- 12:16 PM. The officer received a complaint of a manhole cover being too low in the 200 block of S 1st Street. The officer advised the complainant to notify the Street Department Superintendent on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
- 3:48 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 5:35 PM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
Monday, September 4, 2017
- 1:58 PM. Lance Hubby reported that someone had broken into his residence at 219 N 1st Street and stole a banjo.
- 2:24. PM. Michelle Cox reported that her son is being harassed by Instagram. The officer spoke with the parent of the boy sending the messages.
- 2:43PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
Tuesday, September 5, 2017
- 11:05 AM. The officer received a complaint of 2 hunting dogs running loose in the 600 block of W Maple Street. The officer notified the owner of the location of his dogs.
- 11:50 AM. The officer provided a funeral escort from Community United Methodist Church east to 1st Street and the funeral procession proceeded south to 220th Street and then went east to L Avenue.

- 7:55 AM. Erica Teter reported that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the console and glove box. It didn’t appear that anything was taken.
- 2:00 PM. Jo Capps of 413 SE 4th Street reported that someone had entered her vehicle and stolen a Rand-McNally GPS unit with a docking station and her wallet.
- At 8:59 PM Mindy Marker of 213 SE 2nd reported that someone had entered their vehicle and stole a battery pack blue in color; a fully loaded magazine for a 40 caliber Glock handgun, sunglasses, and loose change.

- 8:55 AM. The officer returned a call to an Ogden resident. This turned out to be a civil matter and the officer advised the subject she would have to take the other party to small claims court.
- 12:42 PM. The officer received a complaint of 2 chickens in a yard in the 500 block of E Walnut.
- 3:25 PM. Ogden resident stopped the officer to advise she had caught a dog that was running loose with no tags. The officer took the dog to the Boone Area Humane Society.
- 3:55 PM. The officer received a report of a westbound train leaking something. The officer had the Boone County Communications Center notify the Union Pacific Railroad.
- 9:45 PM. Jeffrey Orrell of 307 SE 4th Street reported to the Deputy that he had damage to a tree and some lights.
- 10:15 PM. Ogden resident reported to Deputy of being harassed over the phone. The deputy made contact with the offending party and advised them to stop.

- 3:35 PM. The officer observed an elderly woman walking across the NW 4th Street tracks stumble and fall. The officer assisted the woman in getting to her feet and gave her a ride home. The subject denied any medical treatment.
- 3:49 PM. The officer received a report from an Ogden resident that her son was harassed at school earlier today and she would like to file charges. The officer charged an 11-year-old boy with harassment.
- 5:25 PM. The officer received a report of a purse sitting on a lawn in the 200 block of Haws Circle. The officer picked up the purse and made contact with the owner.

- 9:06 PM. The officer investigated suspicious activity in the 200 block of SW 5th St.

- 5:15 PM. The officer arrested Brenda Caldwell in the 100 block of East Walnut St. for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
