Police Report 8/13 - 8/19/2018
Monday, August 13, 2018
- 6:35. AM. The officer spoke with the resident about the burning brush. The officer explained our ordinance that states Ogden residents can only burn brush April 15-May 15 and October 1-November 15.
- 10:00AM. The officer assisted Ogden Fire with a fire alarm at Ogden High School. This was set off by construction workers. There was no fire.
- 11:45 AM. The officer received a complaint of a possible forged check from out of state. This case is under investigation.
- 2:55. PM. The officer received a call from an individual wanting a copy of a police report.
- 3:00PM. The officer assisted the subject with a police report on items that were purchased fraudulently on his debit card.
- 5:25. PM. Ogden officer and Boone County Deputy were asked to check on the welfare of an Ogden resident. The subject was fine.
- 11:49PM. The deputy found an open storage trailer door and an open door at Ogden High School. The deputy notified the custodian. They checked the building and no one was around. The building and trailer were secured.
Tuesday, August 14, 2018
- 9:35 AM. The officer received a complaint person(s) parking their cars and blocking the alley outside of a spay/neuter clinic in the trailer court off of NW 7th Street.
Wednesday, August 15, 2018
- 12:15. PM. The officer received a complaint of a pickup truck pulling a trailer parked over the sidewalk in the 100 block of West Walnut Street. The officer located the driver of the truck inside the Lucky Pig. The officer asked the driver to move the truck and trailer off of the sidewalk.
- 6:05PM. Bonnie Meis, 214 E Walnut, reported that she is missing her cat. The male cat is white with tiger stripes.
- 8:17. PM. The officer responded to a fire alarm at Ogden High School. This was determined to be a bad smoke detector.
Thursday, August 16, 2018
- 12:37AM. Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious subject in the 400 block of E Sycamore Street. The deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area.
- 2:30 PM. The officer attempted to speak with the subject regarding tall weeds and tall grass, but nobody answered the door. The officer called the landlord and left a message.
- 3:35 PM. Shelby Moorman at 220 W Cherry Street reported that she found her daughter’s pet rabbit outside of its cage. One of the cage panels was knocked down and the plastic zip ties were broken. The rabbit was deceased. Shelby was not sure who or what released the animal and killed it.
- 9:02. PM. The deputy removed a bat from a residence.
Friday, August 17, 2018
- 1:00AM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
- 1:51. AM. The deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Howe Elementary School. This was determined to be a bat in the building.
- 8:50AM. The officer received a complaint of a subject digging a hole and it didn’t appear that he had called One Call due to no paint marks in the area. The officer spoke with the subject and asked if he had called One Call. The subject hadn’t, so the officer advised to stop digging and call One Call.
- 10:32 AM. The officer returned the Harley Davidson key/fob that was found a couple of weeks ago to the owner.
- 1:10 PM. The officer received a complaint of juveniles riding a 4-wheeler in the roadway in the 500 block of S 1st. The officer spoke with the subjects and advised them to stay off of the road and on their property.
- 8:53 PM. A deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Howe Elementary. This was determined to be a bat in the building. The bat was removed.
Saturday, August 18, 2018
- 7:42. PM. The deputy received a complaint of a small child riding a tricycle near the roadway at SW 6th and Division Street. The deputy was unable to locate any child in the area.
- 8:47PM. The deputy received a complaint of a bat in a house. The deputy responded to the house and neither he nor the homeowner could locate the bat. The deputy advised the homeowner to call again if she saw the bat.
Sunday, August 19, 2018
- 10:20. AM. The deputy received a report of a 21-speed bike being left by a garage in the 300 block of West Oak Street. The deputy picked up the bike and took it to the city maintenance shed.
- 11:20AM. Melynda Kruger, 22, of Ogden reported to Deputy that she was physically assaulted by her brother, Kristopher Kruger, 21, of Ogden. The deputy spoke with both parties.
- 10:00 PM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
