Police Report 8/10 - 8/16/2020
Monday, August 10, 2020
- 10:40 AM. The officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a tractor-trailer-semi that had flipped over in the high winds blocking the northbound lane in the 1700 block of H Avenue.
- 1:45 PM. Officers assisted city crews in setting out barricades on streets with downed trees and power lines.
- 7:08 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
Tuesday, August 11, 2020
- 8:15 AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputies, Ogden Fire, Ogden First Responders, and Boone County Ambulance with a fatality accident involving a motorcycle and farm tractor pulling a trailer in the 1100 block of 220th Street.
- 10:48. AM. Ogden resident reported that her chocolate lab had runaway. The dog returned a short time later.
- 6:07 PM. The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden Business. This was determined to be a false alarm.
Wednesday, August 12, 2020
- 8:07 AM. The officer responded to 114 W Sycamore for a dispute between 2 female residents. This was a verbal argument only.
- 10:45 AM. The Ogden Officer and another Ogden resident assisted the Ogden resident to gain access to their home.
- 3:25 PM. The officer received a complaint of juveniles riding a golf cart around the Howe School property. The officer spoke with individuals and advised them to stay off of the property with motor vehicles.
- 6:00 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.

- 2:07 PM. Ogden resident turned over a wallet and set of car keys the resident had found in the Walmart parking lot. The wallet belonged to another Ogden resident. The officer returned the wallet and car keys.
Friday, August 14, 2020
- 6:05 AM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 12:25 PM. Clinton Mantz, 506 W Sycamore Street, reported that someone had taken a sign and metal edging off of his carport on the south side of his residence.
- 1:59 PM. Ogden resident wanted to know the name of the people who owned the house next to her so she could notify them that their tree fell into her yard. The officer advised she could look up the owner of the home on Beacon Schneider Boone County, Iowa
- 7:09 PM. The deputy received a request from Webster County Deputy to contact an Ogden resident about poor driving in Webster County. The deputy was unable to locate the subject.
Saturday, August 15, 2020
- 10:31 AM. The officer assisted the Ogden resident with a bat in the house.
- 2:00 PM. The officer assisted the Boone County Deputy with cattle in the ditch in the 500 block of 220th Street.
- 2:40 PM. The officer advised the Ogden resident he couldn’t burn his branches and leaves.
- 5:53 PM. Brian Heck reported that his neighbor was in the alley behind 518 W Sycamore, wetting the ground and trying to pull a property pin. Boone County Deputy responded.

- 6:41 PM. Ogden resident called and asked for an officer to check on her husband, who had gone outside and had been gone for quite a while. The caller was confined to her bed, so she could not check for herself. The husband was inside the home when the officer arrived
