Monday, July 1, 2024
- 3:22 PM. The officer returned a phone call regarding concerns about an incident that had occurred in Appanoose County. This was forwarded to the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office.
Tuesday, July 2, 2024
- 12:13 AM. Deputies responded to the 100 block of SW 8th St to investigate a domestic abuse report that had taken place earlier that night.
- 1:46 PM. The deputy handled an animal complaint within the city.
- 5:30 PM. The officer assisted with catching a loose dog in the 100 block of E Veterans Dr.
- 7:49 PM. The officer took a phone call about dogs barking in the 300 block of E Walnut St. The Officer responded to the area and was not able to locate any barking dogs.
- 9:32 PM. The officer assisted medical personnel with a victim of an assault who had been assaulted in Dayton, IA, and then drove to the Ogden City Hall. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the incident.
Wednesday, July 3, 2024
- 5:11 AM. The deputy assisted a stranded motorist in the 1000 block of N 1st St.
- 8:04 PM. The officer spoke with a group of juveniles in the 100 block of SW 5th St about throwing rocks at each other and surrounding buildings.
- 9:46 PM. The officer conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of SE 2nd St.
Thursday, July 4, 2024
- 12:10 AM. The officer conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of E Walnut St.
- 9:41 AM. The officer and deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of W Chestnut St.
- 1:56 PM. The officer responded to a report of a howling dog in the 300 block of E Walnut St. The dog was quiet upon arrival but started barking and howling as the officer stepped onto the property. A family member was contacted to bring the dog inside.
- 8:53. PM. Deputies responded to a fireworks complaint in the 300 block of SW 3rd St but were unable to locate anyone in the area.
- 9:30PM. The deputy spoke with some individuals in the 700 block of W Elm St about violation of the fireworks ordinance. They agreed to continue their activity outside of the city limits.
Friday, July 5, 2024
- 1:56 PM. The officer attempted to locate a reported reckless vehicle entering the city limits from the 1500 block of H Ave.
- 5:55 PM. The deputy returned a phone call regarding a civil issue involving UPS.
- 6:10 PM. The deputy conducted a welfare check on an individual in the 500 block of NW 6th St. The person was fine and stated they would contact their son, who made the report.
- 10:06 PM. The deputy responded to a report of fireworks going off near NE 3rd St and E Cherry St but was unable to locate anyone in the area.
Saturday, July 6, 2024
- 7:17 PM. Deputies responded to a family dispute that had taken place at the skating rink. The parties had already been separated, and deputies warned them not to have any further contact with each other.
- 8:36 PM. Deputies responded to a report of fireworks near NE 4th St and E Sycamore St. Deputies made contact with a group and warned them about the city’s ordinance against fireworks. The deputies were called back about an hour later, but they were unable to locate anyone or observe any fireworks going off.
