Police Report 7/15 - 7/21/2024
Monday, July 15, 2024
- 3:27 AM. The deputy located a suspicious vehicle leaving the Ogden Casey’s at the same time a theft report was being made from the same location. The deputy followed the car to the 300 block of E Walnut St, where he made contact with the occupants and located the firewood that had been reported stolen. As a result of the deputy’s investigation, Anthony Musser, a 20-year-old male from Ogden, was arrested and charged with theft, possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by an underage person, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 9:30 AM. The officer took a report of harassment in the 700 block of W Division St. The investigation is ongoing.
- 4:02 PM. The officer investigated a report of a dog left in a hot car near the Ogden Fareway. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description or any dogs in need of assistance.
- 10:37 PM. The deputy investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of SW 7th St. During the investigation, an abandoned bicycle was found in the middle of the roadway. The bicycle has since been placed at the Ogden City Shed for safekeeping.
- 11:07 PM. The deputy responded to a medical alarm in the 400 block of E Walnut St. It was determined to be an accidental alarm.

- 11:24 AM. The officer responded to a medical alarm in the 400 block of E Walnut St. It was determined to be an accidental alarm.
- 2:24 PM. The officer responded to a report of suspicious activity in Casey’s parking lot. The suspects had left before the officer’s arrival.
- 9:28 PM. The officer conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of E Locust St. The resident was found to be fine.

Thursday, July 18, 2024
- 2:29 AM. The deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of W Cherry St.
- 11:11 AM. The officer responded to the 300 block of E Elm St in response to an abandoned 911 call in the area. The officer was unable to locate anyone.
- 1:49 PM. The officer responded to a report of trespass/illegal use of a dumpster in the 400 block of E Walnut St. The suspect had left before the officer’s arrival.
- 3:46 PM. The officer responded to the 300 block of E Maple St to retrieve a bucket full of tools that had been found in the middle of the intersection at NE 3rd St and E Maple St. The tools were taken to the Ogden Police Department for safekeeping.
- 5:47 PM. The officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W Walnut St.

- 7:51 AM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of E Division St.
- 1:03 PM. The officer investigated a burning complaint in the 200 block of Haws Circle.
- 7:43 PM. The deputy located a tan/white lab/pit mix in the 300 block of SW 3rd St. The Boone Area Humane Society was called to retrieve the dog.

- 5:29 PM. The deputy returned a phone call regarding a possible scam. The reporting party had found a lady on the app “Plenty of Fish” and sent her money in exchange for house cleaning. Once the lady started requesting more money, the reporting party realized this was most likely not legitimate.
