Police Report 6/6 - 6/12/2022

Monday, June 6, 2022
- 10:57 AM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a subject who had fallen and needed help standing back up.
- 3:06 PM. The officer was asked to check on the driver of the vehicle that was parked alongside the road. The driver had pulled over to take a nap.

Tuesday, June 7, 2022
- 5:46 AM. Jeremy Birkinbine, 41, of Ogden, reported that someone entered 2 of his unlocked vehicles that were parked in front of his residence at 443 E Sycamore Street. He said he was missing a pack of cigarettes and approximately $15 cash.
- 8:45 AM. Doug Nebbe, owner of The Bike Barn, reported that someone had thrown a landscaping block through a window and gained access inside the building. It didn’t appear anything was missing except two fire extinguishers, which were discharged inside of the building. There was approximately $1,300.00 in damage to the building.

Wednesday, June 8, 2022
- 4:25 PM. The officer received a report of a vehicle westbound on 220th from the Boone area. The vehicle had reportedly thrown a roll of carpet in the ditch. The officer stopped the vehicle just east of D Avenue. The driver said that he stopped over by Boone to remove the roll of carpet from the roadway and toss it into the ditch.
- 5:10 PM. The officer was asked to look for a semi-tractor-trailer northbound from Highway 141 that was failing to maintain a lane. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
- 8:44 PM. The officer received a complaint of 3 subjects on the roof of the Ogden Middle School/High School. Ogden officers and Boone County Deputy were able to catch one, and the other two returned. The officer charged three male juveniles with Criminal Trespass. There were (2) 14-year-old and (1) 13-year-old juveniles. The juveniles were released to their parents.

Thursday, June 9, 2022
- 10:08 AM. The officer responded to a report of a possible crash at SW 7th and Division Street. LIFE 360 reported a crash notification in the area of SW 7th and Division Street. The officer spoke with a juvenile in the area, and he said that he hadn’t had an accident. I asked if he had called LIFE 360. He said that he hadn’t, but he did have that application on his phone, and he didn’t know where his phone was. A short time later, a subject pulled up and returned his phone, she had found it at the intersection of SW 7th and Division. He must have left it on his trunk while filling up with gas, and it fell off when he turned the corner, alerting the application when it hit the ground.

Friday, June 10, 2022
- 8:10 AM. Chad Thede, Wastewater Superintendent, reported the restrooms at the City Park had been vandalized again. He advised they will be closed unless someone is renting the shelter house and will be open for Ogden Fun Days.
- 9:34 AM. Lisa Kieffer, of Ogden, reported that her vehicle had been hit by a tire that had fallen off of a passing vehicle, and the vehicle had not stopped. When the officer arrived, the driver of the vehicle, missing the wheel, was on the scene. The wheel had fallen off of a double-axle trailer as the driver was making a right-hand turn off of Walnut Street onto SW 2nd, and the vehicle rolled down the sidewalk, striking Kieffer’s vehicle. There was approximately $1,000.00 damage to Kieffer’s 2017 Ford and $300.00 damage to the trailer owned by Riley Armstrong Plumbing and Heating out of Ft Dodge.

- 12:20 PM. The officer assisted a subject that fell at 325 SW 4th St.
- 11:56 PM. The deputy assisted a subject with a medical problem at 302 SW 3rd St.

- 12:53 PM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders at 237 SW 8th St.
