Police Report 6/27 - 6/30/2022

Monday, June 27, 2022
- 11:04 AM. The officer responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 200 block of N 1st. Rhonda Jacobson, 59, of Ogden, was southbound in her 2014 KIA when she sneezed, drove off the road to the right, and struck a railroad crossing sign. There was approximately $1,100.00 damage to her KIA and $100.00 damage to the sign. There were no charges.
- 11:55 AM. The officer assisted the motorist, who was locked out of the vehicle.
- 12:10 PM. The officer received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in March 2022.
- 5:58. PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a 2-vehicle accident at K Avenue and 230th Street.
- 6:49PM. Ogden resident picked up a stray dog, a chocolate lab, on the east side of the Des Moines River on 216th Street, brought it to Ogden, and turned it over to the Ogden Police Department. The officer called the Boone Area Humane Society to come and get it.
- 7:31 PM. The officer was flagged down by the subject, who stated an employee of Dollar General had fallen and appeared to have injured her leg. The officer stopped by the store and spoke with the employee. The employee denied any medical attention, as she said she had a doctor's appointment tomorrow and would have it checked out then.
- 9:28 PM. The officer spoke with the resident about fireworks. The resident had just moved to town and was unaware of the fireworks ordinance.

Tuesday, June 28, 222
- 11:26. AM. Ogden officer and Ogden Street Superintendent provided traffic control for a funeral that was leaving Community Methodist Church and going north out of town.
- 12:19PM. Ogden resident reported a phone scam. The resident responded to a job on Facebook. The subject offered to pay off her credit card, and after paying off the card, the subject asked the resident to go and purchase 2-$500 Apple Cards. The resident was not able to purchase the cards. The officer advised the resident not to give any information to the subject, as he kept calling back. The officer also advised the subject to freeze that credit card.

Wednesday, June 29, 2022
- 12:28 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 3:56 PM. The officer spoke with the resident about the condition of his property.

Thursday, June 30, 2022
- 5:57 AM. The officer did a welfare check on a subject at 419 SE 2nd St., Apt. 8
- 11:15. AM. Ogden officer and Ogden Sewer Superintendent provided traffic control for a funeral leaving Carson/Stapp Funeral Home and going to Boxholm.
- 2:11PM. The officer investigated an incomplete 911 at 225 N. 1st St.
- 9:37 PM. The deputy assisted a stranded motorist at 625 E. Walnut St.
