Police Report 6/24 - 6/30/2019

Monday, June 24, 2019
- 9:32 AM.  The officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 200 block of Haws Drive.  There was less than $1,500.00 in damage, so no state report was filed.
- 1:15 PM.  The officer met with the owner of Scott Carnival and assisted with locations to park until they could start setting up Tuesday afternoon.
- 11:51 PM.  The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business.  The building was secure.  This was determined to be a false alarm.

Tuesday, June 25, 2019
- 6:15 AM.  Casey's employee reported a gas drive-off that occurred over the weekend.  The subject had used a Hy Vee Fuel Saver card, so the officer was able to contact the individual.
- 9:40 AM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
- 2:11 PM.  The officer contacted the owner of the residence, that needed to be mowed.
- 3:30 PM.  The officer assisted the Boone County Deputy with a domestic situation at 201 1st Street in Pilot Mound.
- 9:25 PM.  The officer received a report of 2 subjects with bags sitting at NW 3rd and Maple Street.  The subjects had just quit working for the carnival and were waiting for a ride from Fort Dodge.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019
- 6:49 AM.  The officer was asked to remove a deer from the road that had been hit near Laurel Lane and 216th intersection.
- 8:20 AM.  The officer received a complaint about a dog that acts aggressively with a neighbor's dog.  The officer spoke with the owner of the aggressive-acting dog.
- 10:25 AM.  The officer received a report of an older male in an older silver Chevrolet truck who appeared to be following a high school student while he was out running.  This happened 2 hours before the officer was notified.  The officer was unable to locate a similar truck in the area.
- 1:30 PM.  The officer spoke with an Ogden resident regarding the lawn needing to be mowed.
- 2:30. PM.  Ogden officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a sex offender registry violation.
- 3:25PM.  Ogden resident called the Officer to report that he could see someone walking around his property, taking pictures, and wearing a safety vest.  The officer spoke with the subject, and he is working with the Boone County Assessor’s Office.

Thursday, June 27, 2019
- 7:10 AM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
- 11:04 AM.  The officer returned a call to the subject wanting to know about blocking off parking around Masonic Lodge for a gathering on Saturday.
- 11:40 AM.  Ogden resident reported that her dog had gotten away from her and was dragging a leash.  The subject called back a short time later and advised she had caught the dog.
- 9:20 PM.  Ogden resident reported catching a white shepherd/husky mix dog that was running loose in the 400 block of NW 7th Street.  The officer took the dog to the city kennel.

Friday, June 28, 2019
- At 9:45 AM, the Officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 10:00 AM.  The officer received a complaint of vehicles parking in the alley, blocking access in and out.  The officer asked the drivers of the vehicles to move.
- 11:04 AM.  Ogden resident reported being harassed via text messages.
- 3:10 PM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders.
- 4:14 PM.  The officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 300 block of NW 2nd Street.  There was less than $1,500 in damage, so no state report was filed.
- 5:01 PM.  Ashley Stauffer reported that her black Puggle Dog had gotten out of the house and was not wearing a collar.
- 6:41 PM.  The officer arrested Ashley Vaughn, 33, of Ogden, on a Boone County Warrant.
- 7:26 PM.  Officers did a welfare check on an Ogden resident.  The subject was not home.
- 9:00 PM.  Desiree Padgett reported that her brown/white Husky dog had gotten loose.

Saturday, June 29, 2019
- 12:40. AM.  Joe Erwin reported that he had lost his cellular phone while at the City Park.
- 9:40AM. The officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 700 block of West Mulberry St.
- 1:33 PM. The officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W. Walnut St.
- 2:45 PM. The officer assisted with traffic control for a funeral escort.
- 5:10 PM. The officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 500 block of S. 1st St.
- 6:29 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 532 S. 1st St.
- 8:13 PM. The officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a vehicle in the ditch in the 600 block of 230th St.
- 10:29 PM. The officer responded to 822 N. 1st St. for a child out of control.

Sunday, June 30, 2019
- 11:43 AM Officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W. Walnut St.
- 12:03 PM. The officer received a lost cell phone from an Ogden citizen.
