Police Report 6/19 - 6/25/2023

PSA: The Ogden Police Department wants to remind the citizens of Ogden that the use of commercial and display fireworks is prohibited within city limits at all times.

Monday, June 19, 2023
-1:30PM. The officer investigated an unattended fire in the 400 block of E Maple St. The resident was warned about open burning out of season.
-4:30PM. The deputy investigated a 911 hang-up call that was originally mapped in the 200 block of E Maple St and then near 240th St and H Ave. The deputy was unable to locate the caller.
-6:09PM. The deputy investigated a fireworks complaint near SE 2nd St and E Veterans Dr. The deputy was unable to locate the source.
-7:27PM. A deputy investigated a report of a reckless driver south of town who pulled into the Ogden Casey’s.
-7:48PM. The deputy investigated a report of a traffic hazard in the 100 block of SW 4th St. The hazard was moved to the shoulder of the road.

Tuesday June 20, 2023
-4:18PM. The officer took a report of a runaway from the 300 block of NW 4th St. The runaway was eventually located. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office assisted with this call.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023
-12:09PM. The officer investigated a report of a dog at large in the 300 block of SE 4th St. The dog was located near the 500 block of E Oak St but ran away. However, the dog was identified by the officer, and the owner was contacted.
-10:35PM. The officer assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop near N 1st St and Locust St. As a result of the stop, Kristi Anderson, 46-year-old of Ogden, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 1st offense.

Thursday June 22, 2023
-11:08AM. The officer investigated a report of a suspicious person near the 200 block of N 1st St. It was discovered to be a neighbor outside working on their house.

Friday, June 23, 2023
-5:49AM. The deputy investigated a report of a transformer that was struck near SE 2nd St and E Veterans Dr. It was determined that the transformer was a total loss. The deputy was able to locate debris left behind from the suspect vehicle and was subsequently able to locate the vehicle in the 200 block of SE 2nd St. As a result of the investigation, Kolton Munson, 18, of Ogden, was placed under arrest for possession of alcohol under the legal age.
-10:22AM. The officer investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 300 block of W Sycamore St. Several carnival employees were setting up at the time, and everything appeared to be fine. Dispatchers were eventually able to make contact with the caller, who advised it was an accidental dial.
-10:23AM. The officer investigated an abandoned bicycle in the 100 block of SW 4th St that had been sitting there for several days. The owner was located later that day, and the bicycle was returned.
-10:43AM. The officer assisted a motorist in the 200 block of SW 4th St with getting fuel for his vehicle that had run out of gas.
-4:42PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of W Chestnut St.
-5:59PM. The officer attempted to make contact with a subject in the 200 block of E Walnut for the Story County Sheriff’s Office, but no one was home.

Saturday, June 24, 2023
-8:00AM. The officer provided traffic control at N 1st St and Elm St for the Fun Days Fun Run.
-8:52PM. Reserve Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of W Walnut St.
-9:38PM. Officer and Reserve Deputies investigated an abandoned 911 call coming from the Fun Days Beer Garden. The source of the call was unlocated, but everything appeared to be fine.

Sunday June 25, 2023
-4:30AM. The deputy investigated an open door in the 700 block of W Division St. Everything appeared to be fine, and the door was secured.
-2:15PM. A subject in the 300 block of NW 4th St called in, stating that their child had a phone and was not sure if it was stolen or not. The reporting party was advised to contact an Ogden officer on Monday and turn it over to them.
-2:26PM. The deputy investigated a report of reckless driving near E Division St and SE 2nd St but was unable to locate the offenders.
