Police Report 6/18 - 6/24/2018
Monday, June 18, 2018
- 10:53 AM. The officer received a complaint from a citizen in regards to a van driving around and taking pictures of residences. The van was taking pictures for APPLE maps and is not violating any privacy issues.
- 1:15 PM. The officer received a Home State Bank card and called Home State Bank and asked them to have the owner of the card call Ogden PD. The owner called back and advised the officer to destroy the card.
- 1:33 PM. The officer received a report of a possible intoxicated driver. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 1300 block of H Avenue. The driver was not intoxicated.
Tuesday, June 19, 2018
- 8:46 AM. The officer was asked to check on the welfare of juveniles who were camping outside in the rain in the 100 block of E Locust Street. The juveniles were fine.
Wednesday, June 20, 2018
- 7:33. AM. Ogden businessman requested assistance gaining access to his business as the lock was broken on the door. The officer contacted a locksmith out of Boone to come over and assist the subject.
- 9:33AM. An employee of Casey's General Store reported that a subject left without paying for gas. The employee knew the subject, so the officer called and left a message on the subject’s answering machine to return and pay for the gas.
- 1:46 PM. Boone County Sheriff checked on a residence to see if subjects were still living there for another agency.
Thursday, June 21, 2018
- 7:08 AM. The officer received a report of a vehicle that was driving eastbound on 220th from Grand Junction in a reckless manner. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of E Avenue and the driver denied any issues with his driving and was not under the influence.
- 8:57 AM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 520 W Division Street.
- 5:22 PM. The officer was asked to do a welfare check on the subjects. The individuals were fine.
- 5:30 PM. The officer assisted the subject in retrieving the property.
Friday, June 22, 2018
- 1:50 PM. The officer received a complaint about the subject sitting outside of the house. This was a mother who wanted to pick up her 15-year-old child regarding a custodial agreement. The officer advised the mother the daughter did not want to go at this time and to contact her attorney.
- 3:46 PM. The officer received a written complaint about an infestation of spiders and ants at a property in Ogden. The officer and city administrator went and looked at the property, but were unable to determine a problem, so the city administrator was going to ask for help from another agency.
- 4:30 PM. The officer received a complaint of subjects riding a 4-wheeler on private/public property and tearing up the ground. The officer was unable to locate anyone on 4-wheelers but did notice damage to property in the 500 block of South 1st Street.
- 8:16 PM. The deputy responded to 513 SW 5th Street to pick up a dog that was running at large. The deputy returned the dog to the owner, on information on the dog tag.
- 8:20 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
Saturday, June 23, 2018
- 7:45 AM. The officer was requested to stand. By for a child exchange.
- 3:35PM. Misty Stumbo reported that she lost her Samsung smartwatch while she was at City Park.
- 11:30 PM. A wallet that was found in the City Park was turned over to an Ogden Officer. The officer returned the wallet to the owner.
Sunday, June 24, 2018
- 8:05 AM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
- 10:35 AM. Jamie Moorman reported that he saw a young adult male riding his daughter’s bike at approximately 5:50 AM. The bike was taken from outside the residence, where his daughter was spending the night. The officer was able to locate the bike and identify the male subject as Kaedon Barnes, 18, of Boone. Barnes was arrested for alleged Theft-5th Degree and Criminal Trespass. Barnes was taken to the Boone County Jail.
- 5:28 PM. The deputy received a complaint of concrete debris being torn up by a passing train. The debris was blocking the railroad crossing. The deputy removed the debris from the crossing and notified Union Pacific.
