Police Report 6/16-6/22/2025
Monday, June 16, 2025
- 8:23 AM. Officer provided a vehicle unlock for a van at the Ogden Bus Barn.
- 8:09 PM. Deputy responded to a disconnected 911 call in the 400 block of W Sycamore. It was discovered to be children playing with a phone.
- 11:04 PM. Deputy responded to a report of a car horn stuck on in the 300 block of SW 6th St. The owner came out and was able to turn off the horn.
Tuesday, June 17, 2025
- 7:43 AM. Officer responded to the Lucky Pig to recover a wallet that was located in the back alley. The owner was identified, and the wallet was returned later that day.
- 12:03 PM. Officer responded to a report of a shattered car window at the Ogden Casey's. According to the owner and a witness, nothing struck the window, and after hearing a popping sound, the window shattered. It is believed that this was most likely due to a pre-existing crack or chip.
- 8:10 PM. Deputies responded to the area of SW 7th St and W Mulberry St in regards to a report of an angry driver harassing a man walking his dogs. The deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Wednesday, June 18, 2025
- 3:00 PM. Officer responded to Casey's to meet with a driver who believed her vehicle may have been damaged while crossing the railroad on N 1st St. The driver was provided with a case number, and the Union Pacific was notified of the incident and the needed maintenance at the crossing.
- 4:48 PM. Officer responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 1st and Walnut St.
Thursday, June 19, 2025
- 8:14 AM. Officer assisted members of the Senior Citizen Center who had gotten locked out of the building.
- 8:26 AM. Officer and deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of NE 4th St. The suspect had walked away prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The reporting party stated that he did not want to press charges and did not have any noticeable injuries.
- 4:21 PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 500 block of W Division St. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office was also notified as they had civil paperwork that they had been trying to serve the patient for several weeks.
- 7:05 PM. Officer took a report of a domestic abuse case that had occurred at an earlier time. The investigation is ongoing.
Friday, June 20, 2025
- 9:35 AM. Officer assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on Old Highway 30 and J Ave. The driver had a deportation warrant through the Office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The passengers were told by deputies and officer that they were free to leave, but another officer with ICE made contact with them at the intersection of I Ave and detained them for further questioning.
- 10:17 AM. While assisting the Sheriff’s Office with the traffic stop, officer noticed that there was an increase of traffic on J Ave. This is indicative of the railroad crossings being blocked in town, so dispatch contacted the Union Pacific.
Saturday, June 21, 2025
- 8:38 AM. Officer checked on a reported abandoned vehicle parked in the gravel lot at the old Howe School property. It was unoccupied, legally parked, and clear of any wants or warrants.
- 4:52 PM. Deputy responded to the area of N 1st and E Cherry St regarding a report of an open manhole. The cover had been replaced prior to the deputy’s arrival.
- 11:37 PM. Officer responded to a report of a possible traffic hazard in the 100 block of E Sycamore. There was a report of a van parked too far into the travel portion of the street. Officer did not locate any violations in the area.
Sunday, June 22, 2025
- 8:06 AM. Deputy assisted Casey's with contacting the owner of a vehicle that had been abandoned on their property for the weekend. Deputy made contact with the owner and assisted him with arranging a tow.
- 11:44 AM. Deputy responded to the City Park in an attempt to locate some property that had been left there. The property was located and returned to the owner.
- 12:53 PM. Deputy was asked to return a phone call regarding a concern about a report that had been filed earlier in the week. The deputy called several times but received no answer.
- 1:16 PM. Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of H Ave as a result of a hit and run that had occurred at the intersection of 1st St and Walnut St. The driver that had been struck followed the offending vehicle out of town so that law enforcement could respond.
- 1:27 PM. Deputy responded to a report of a metal barrel that needed to be removed from the intersection of 1st St and Walnut St.
- 7:39 PM. Deputy responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of NE 4th St. A male had been pepper-sprayed by a subject who had already left. The victim stated he did not wish to press charges.
