Police Report 5/29 - 6/4/2023
Monday, May 29, 2023
- 7:45 AM. The officer investigated a report of theft and assault in the 100 block of SE 4th St. The report was unfounded.
- 8:57 PM. The deputy investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of W Locust St.
- 9:35 PM. The deputy investigated a report of a fake ID in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr. The suspect was unsuccessful in using the ID and left the scene, but the deputy was able to make contact and warn the suspect about further use of the fake ID.
- 10:30 PM. The deputy investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of E Walnut St. The Deputy made contact with a group of juveniles who stated they were doing a “TikTok challenge.” They were advised to move along.

- 9:05 AM. The officer responded to assist a motorist with unlocking their car in the 200 block of W Mulberry St.
- 5:40 PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of W Division St.
- 11:00 PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 500 block of N 1st St.
Wednesday, May 31, 2023
- 12:48 AM. The officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr. It was discovered that the driver had just pulled off the road to rest.
- 6:56 AM. The deputy responded to assist a motorist with unlocking their car in the 300 block of SW 3rd St.
- 5:52 PM. The officer conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of E Walnut St. Contact was made with the resident, and they were determined to be fine.
- 6:07 PM. The officer responded to the 300 block of N 1st St regarding a report of an unfriendly and possibly injured cat. The officer was unable to locate.
Thursday, June 1, 2023
- 1:20 PM. The officer investigated a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of E Walnut St. The Officer offered some counseling for the family. There are no charges at this time.
- 4:49 PM. The officer assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with investigating a report of a possible motor vehicle collision near H Ave and 290th St. There was no collision.
Friday, June 2, 2023
- 9:36 AM. The officer responded to a civil dispute in the 100 block of SE 4th St. When the officer arrived on the scene, there was an active verbal fight in progress. The officer was able to successfully defuse the situation and separate the parties.
- 11:50 AM. The officer served Chalon Engleen, 60 years old of Ogden, with a citation for violating the City’s nuisance property ordinance in the 600 block of NW 4th St.
- 5:27 PM. The officer and Deputy assisted with an oven fire in the 500 block of W Sycamore St.
- 5:28 PM. The deputy assisted a disabled motorist in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr. by giving her a ride to Woodward.
Saturday, June 3, 2023
- 7:38 PM. The duty officer and deputy responded to a welfare check in the 300 block of W Mulberry St. The resident was transported to the Boone County Hospital for an evaluation.
Sunday, June 4, 2023
- 4:48 AM. The deputy investigated reports of 3 people “ding-dong-ditching” in the 600 block of W Mulberry St. The deputy was unable to locate the suspects.
- 1:12 PM. The deputy investigated a report of harassment in the 200 block of SE 4th St. The investigation is ongoing.
- 2:42 PM. The deputy investigated a report of harassment in the 300 block of NW 4th St.
- 4:23 PM. The deputy provided a civil standby while parents exchanged custody of their children in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr.
