Police Report 5/1 - 5/7/2023

Monday, May 1, 2023
- 10:51 AM. The officer investigated a reported assault in the 700 block of W Division St. At this point, the victim and their family do not wish to pursue charges.
- 3:23 PM. The officer responded to a motorist assist in the 700 block of W Division St.
- 6:57 PM. The deputy responded to a 911 hang-up in the 600 block of W Cherry. Contact was made with the caller, and everything was fine.

Tuesday, May 2, 2023
- 9:54 AM. The officer responded to a medical call in the 200 block of E Veterans Dr.
- 10:21 AM. The officer investigated an open door in the 300 block of W Veterans Dr. The door was secured, and the homeowner was contacted.
- 11:45 AM. The officer investigated a report of suspicious activity near the section of the bike path near SE 6th St. The officer was unable to locate anything.
- 3:10 PM. The officer responded to a medical call in the 500 block of W Sycamore St.

Wednesday, May 3, 2023
- 11:05 AM. The deputy investigated a report of a reckless vehicle that was last seen in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

Thursday, May 4, 2023
- 12:32 PM. The officer took a report of a missing person. The subject was located safely a short time later.
- 8:45 PM. The officer returned a phone call regarding a possible scam. The reporting party states their daughter put a down payment on a couch listed on Facebook and lost the money. The money was paid using the payment app “Venmo.”

Friday, May 5, 2023
- 9:42 AM. The officer responded to a fire alarm in the 300 block of W Walnut St. It was determined to be a false alarm.
- 4:11 PM. The officer took a report of fraudulent activity in the 400 block of SE 2nd St. The reporting party stated that someone attempted to purchase a cruise with a Bank of America card in their name and using their social security number. The purchase was not completed, and the reporting party had already alerted the appropriate banking services.
- 11:03 PM. The officer, with the assistance of a conservation officer, assisted with a juvenile issue in the 400 block of W Division St. Officers located and returned a runaway and provided some counseling for the family.

Saturday, May 6, 2023
- 11:05 AM. The deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of W Maple St. It was determined to be verbal only, and one-half of the dispute was given a ride to an alternate location.
- 9:56 PM. The deputy responded to a medical call in the 400 block of SE 2nd St.

Sunday, May 7, 2023
- 5:39 PM. The deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock in the 100 block of SW 8th St.
- 7:40 PM. Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 300 block of S 1st St. One-half of the dispute left the scene and was located in Boone by a Boone PD officer. There were no charges.
