Police Report 4/2 - 4/8/2018

Monday, April 2, 2018
- 2:30 PM.  An employee at Howe Elementary School complained of neighbors burning leaves and the smoke was entering the building.  The officer spoke with the subject burning and advised them to put out the fire.  The officer also reminded the resident of Ogden’s burning ordinance, which allows the burning of yard waste from April 15 through May 15 and again from October 1 through November 15.  Burning of firewood in fire pits or charcoal in grills is not restricted in this ordinance.
- 3:40 PM.  The officer provided a V.I.N. check on a sport utility vehicle for an Ogden resident, so he would be able to register the vehicle.

Tuesday, April 3, 2018
- 8:13 AM.  The officer relayed a message to an Ogden resident.

Wednesday, April 4, 2018
- 7:08 AM. The officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 1000 block of 220th Street.
- 3:13 PM. The officer investigated a minor two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of E. Walnut St.  There was less than $1,500.00 in damage, so no state report was filed.

Thursday, April 5, 2018
- 11:17. AM Officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W Walnut St.
- 11:43AM. The officer investigated suspicious activity at the Ogden High School. School staff handled the matter.

Friday, April 6, 2018
- 6:35 AM. The officer checked on a suspicious person in the 400 block of SW 5th St.
- 3:53 PM. The officer assisted a lost motorist in the 600 block of 216th St.

Saturday, April 7, 2018
- No reported activity.

Sunday, April 8, 2018
- 9:37 PM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

PSA:  BOONE COUNTY LANDFILL IS PROVIDING FREE YARD WASTE DISPOSAL FROM APRIL 16, 2018 THROUGH MAY 31, 2018.  ALL LOADS MUST BE COVERED OR THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.  BRANCHES MAY BE TIED DOWN, RATHER THAN COVERED WITH A TARP.
