PSA: OGDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT TAKING BACK UNWANTED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ON APRIL 27, 2019 AT OGDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM 10 AM-12 PM. THE OGDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE U.S. DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION WILL GIVE THE PUBLIC ITS 17TH OPPORTUNITY IN NINE YEARS TO PREVENT PILL ABUSE AND THEFT BY RIDDING THEIR HOMES OF POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS EXPIRED, UNUSED, AND UNWANTED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.  BRING YOUR PILLS FOR DISPOSAL TO THE OGDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT AT 513 W WALNUT STREET, OGDEN, IOWA.  (SITES CANNOT ACCEPT LIQUIDS, NEEDLES OR SHARPS.  ONLY PILLS OR PATCHES).  THE SERVICE IS FREE AND ANONYMOUS, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Monday, April 1, 2019
- 12:26 PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 620 W. Walnut St. Apt. #1.
- 7:50 PM. The deputy investigated a parking complaint in the 200 block of W. Sycamore St.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019
- 2:17 PM.  The officer was asked to look for a vehicle westbound on 220th from Boone, driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed.  The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
- 4:47 PM.  Deputies responded to a domestic situation at 207 W Veterans Drive.  This was an argument between a male subject and his girlfriend.  This was a verbal argument only, and no charges were filed.
- 5:25 PM.  The deputy received a complaint of a phone scam involving a Social Security Number being compromised.
- 9:51 PM.  The deputy was asked to check on the welfare of a juvenile.  The juvenile was fine.

Wednesday, April 3, 2019
- 11:42. AM.  Ogden resident called to say her black/gray Great Dane had gotten loose.  The owner found the dog later.
- 1:38PM.  The officer spoke with the Ogden resident about garbage on the property.
- 3:00 PM.  The officer cited Kara Miller, 29, of Stratford, for Driving while suspended.
- 5:17 PM.  The officer assisted the Boone County Deputy with an intrusion alarm at 849 D Avenue.  This was determined to be a false alarm.

Thursday, April 4, 2019
- 4:44 PM.  The officer gave a presentation to Cub Scouts.
- 6:26 PM.  The officer was asked to look for a vehicle that was reportedly all over the road westbound on 216th from Boone.  The vehicle pulled into a residence east of Ogden before the officer was able to get to the area.
- 6:35 PM.  The officer checked on an occupied vehicle that had broken down on the shoulder of the road in the 700 block of 220th Street.  The occupants had help coming.

Friday, April 5, 2019
- 12:17. AM.  Deputies responded to an intrusion alarm at Casey’s General Store.  This was determined to be a false alarm.
- 1:15PM.  The officer responded to an incomplete 911 call at 201 Haws Circle.  This was determined to be a misdial; there was no emergency.
- 3:39 PM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

Saturday, April 6, 2019
- 12:13 AM.  The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Casey’s General Store.  This was determined to be a false alarm.
- 9:58 AM.  The officer received a complaint of a black Ford Mustang driving at a high rate of speed in the 300 block of SE 4th and then turning east on Oak Street.
- 1:25 PM.  The officer received a complaint of someone burning a brush outside of the dates allowed for burning.  The Ogden Fire Chief handled the complaint as he was driving by the offending residence.

Sunday, April 7, 2019
- 2:45 PM.  The officer spoke with the Ogden resident who was burning sticks and advised that burning is not allowed until April 15 and lasts until May 15.
- 2:55 PM.  The officer spoke with the Ogden resident who was burning sticks and advised that burning is not allowed until April 15 and lasts until May 15.
- 5:45 PM.  Deputy responded to an Ogden residence for a reported 8-year-old female who was out of control and breaking things.
- 2:45 PM.  The officer spoke with the Ogden resident who was burning sticks and advised that burning is not allowed until April 15 and lasts until May 15.
- 2:55 PM.  The officer spoke with the Ogden resident who was burning sticks and advised that burning is not allowed until April 15 and lasts until May 15.
- 5:45 PM.  Deputy responded to an Ogden residence for a reported 8-year-old female who was out of control and breaking things.
