Police Report 3/3 - 3/9/2025

Monday, March 3, 2025
- 2:48 AM. Deputy assisted medical personnel with a lift assist in the 300 block of SW 4th St.
- 1:05 PM. Officer attempted a welfare check in the 500 block of W Division St. The officer was unable to locate anyone at the residence.
- 5:52 PM. Deputy investigated a report of suspicious activity at the Lincoln Prairie Park.

Tuesday, March 4, 2025
- 1:33 PM. Officer and deputy assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of SW 4th St.
- 2:05 PM. Officer returned a phone call regarding a welfare check. A gentleman had called in multiple times requesting law enforcement to locate and check the welfare of a female who was calling him stating that she was stranded in Ogden. Law enforcement looked in the areas mentioned and for the car described but were unable to locate anyone in need of assistance. The officer was told that the reporting party has never met the woman in person but has been talking to her on the phone for about a year. The reporting party was advised that this sounded like a possible scam and was warned not to give out any money or personal information.
- 10:40 PM. Officer searched the area of the 700 block of W Sycamore St due to a power outage from the storm.

Wednesday, March 5, 2025
- 1:40 AM. Officer responded to an alarm at Dollar General. The store was found to be secured and there were no prints in the fresh snow suggesting anyone had been there. A key holder was contacted.
- 4:35 AM. Deputy requested that the Ogden Street Department be notified that vehicles were having trouble getting stuck in town due to road conditions from the storm.
- 7:03 AM. Officer responded to a vehicle stuck in a drift at the intersection of N 1st St and E Locust St. By the time the officer arrived another motorist had helped them get free but then became stuck themselves. The officer then became stuck trying to push the other truck. A passerby then pulled both trucks free.
- 7:57 AM. Officer responded to a vehicle stuck in the snow near NW 2nd St and W Maple St. The officer was able to push the car free.
- 9:23 AM. Officer responded to a vehicle stuck in the snow in the 600 block of W Maple St. The vehicle was not able to be pulled free and the occupants were given a ride to work in town. Later that day, with the assistance of a community member, the vehicle was freed and returned to the owner.
- 9:58 AM. Officer provided a vehicle unlock in the 200 block of SE 2nd St.
- 10:01 AM. Officer provided traffic control near the intersection of NW 8th St and Vine St for Ogden Municipal while they worked on power lines.
- 11:18 AM. Officer checked on a residence in the 100 block of E Locust St that had a second story window that appeared to be blown in. The officer, along with help from other community members, boarded up the window.
- 1:35 PM. Officer located a vehicle stuck in a drift near SW 5th St and W Veterans Dr. The officer was able to pull the vehicle free.
- 2:14 PM. Officer located a vehicle that had died in the middle of NW 3rd St and W Sycamore St. The officer assisted with pushing the vehicle to the 100 block of W Maple.
- 4:23 PM. Officer investigated a report of an open door at Dollar General, which was supposed to be closed due to weather. Officer located customers inside shopping even though there were no employees present. The assistant manager was contacted and responded.
- 4:39 PM. Officer was flagged down by a motorist who needed their vehicle towed out of the 1200 block of I Ave. A tow company was called.
- 6:18 PM. Officer responded to a parking complaint in the 200 block of SW 7th St.
- 6:32 PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 900 block of N 1st ST.

Thursday, March 6, 2025
- 11:57 AM. Officer assisted with getting an elderly patient’s leg unstuck from a bed in the 200 block of W Maple St.
- 5:34 PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of E Maple St.
- 21:36 PM. Officer and deputies attempted to locate a door-to-door salesman claiming to be with ADT Security. Due to the odd hour of operation and the lack of a peddler’s permit, law enforcement attempted to identify and verify the male suspect. The suspect was eventually located in another county and was verified to be with ADT. He was advised via phone call about needing a peddler’s permit and working during reasonable hours.

Friday, March 7, 2025
- 7:50 AM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of Haws Dr.
- 8:56 PM. Officer and deputy provided a lift assist in the 600 block of E Oak St.

Saturday, March 8, 2025
- 9:45 PM. Deputies investigated a report of an assault in the 200 block of NE 3rd St. After speaking with all present parties, it was determined that no crime had occurred. The involved parties were separated for the night.

Sunday, March 9, 2025
- 10:35 AM. Deputies responded to a subject experiencing a mental health crisis in the 300 block of SW 6th St. A deputy transported the subject to the Boone County Hospital to be examined and treated.
