Police Report 2/25 - 3/3/2019

Monday, February 25, 2019
- 6:44 AM.  The officer responded to a single-vehicle accident on the N 1st Street Railroad Tracks crossing.  A vehicle slid on the ice and went crossways, becoming stuck on tracks.  The vehicle sustained minor damage from striking a sign.  Passing motorists assisted the driver in moving her vehicle from the railroad tracks before the officer arrived.
- 6:52 AM.  The officer provided traffic control for a tow truck in the 100 block of West Walnut Street.
- 10:16 AM.  The officer received a report of a male subject in light jeans and a dark hooded jacket going through mailboxes in the 400 block of East Walnut Street.  The officer located the individual, and he was not sure which mailbox was his.  The subject was able to locate the mailbox.

Tuesday, February 26, 2019
- 7:47 AM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 1:30 PM.  The officer was asked to check on the welfare of an Ogden resident.  The officer transported the subject to Boone County Hospital for a substance abuse evaluation.
- 9:09 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.

Wednesday, February 27, 2019
- 11:07 PM.  The officer was asked to look for a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner north on H Avenue from 290th Street.  The officer located the vehicle as it was turning to go east on 220th Street.  The officer stopped the vehicle at L Avenue and 220th Street.  The driver, Izac Kinkennon, 19, of Bouton, was cited for Driving While License Suspended. Izac was released to a female passenger with a valid driver's license.

Thursday, February 28, 2019
- 10:08 AM.  The officer responded to a 2-vehicle accident in the 100 block of W Veterans Drive.  Timothy Sarver, 41, of McCallsburg, was backing his 2017 Dodge Ram out of parking and hit a 2005 Ford F150 driven by Melvin Meyers, 77, of Ogden.  There was approximately $2,000.00 damage to the Meyers vehicle and $900 to the Sarver vehicle.
- 2:00 PM.  The Ogden resident called and talked with the Ogden officer in regards to the subject that the neighbor uses to clear snow and is pushing the snow onto his property.  The officer advised the subject to talk to his neighbor and, if it didn’t stop, call back.
- 4:51 PM.  The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden Municipal Utilities.  This was set off by an employee as they were leaving.

Saturday, March 2, 2019
- 9:05 AM. An Ogden resident called to report that he had received a phone call from a subject claiming to be from Publisher’s Clearing House.  The resident was advised that he would need to pay $2,000 to cover IRS taxes. The resident knew this was a scam and wanted to report it.
- 2:12 PM.  The officer assisted Deputies with a traffic stop.
- 2:36 PM.  Communications Center received a complaint of children and adults standing on the shoulder of the road on the westbound 220th Street off-ramp into Ogden.  The kids were sledding down the hill to the north.  The complainant thought this was a traffic hazard due to the fact the kids weren’t paying attention to traffic.  The officer had talked with an adult about 5 minutes before the complaint and advised this was not a good area to sled from.

Sunday, March 3, 2019
- 8:00 AM. The officer spoke to a subject about a parking complaint in the 100 block of West Cherry St.
- 6:01 PM. The deputy assisted a stranded motorist at 519 NE 2nd St.
