Tuesday, February 25, 2025
- 1:18 PM. Report of a scam. The reporting party stated that a male, posing as a cousin, called and stated that he had rear-ended another vehicle that was occupied by a pregnant woman. The scammer stated he was going to jail and needed $1,500.00. The reporting party was then transferred to a phone call with a man claiming to be an attorney by the name of Jeff Swain. Eventually, the line was disconnected, and the reporting party called the real cousin and verified that he was not involved in any such incident. No money or personal information was lost.
- 3:23 PM. The officer attempted to locate a male in the 200 block of SE 4th St who had an active warrant out of Perry, IA. 72-year-old Harry Phipps, of Ogden, was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to Dallas County by a Perry Police Officer.
- 10:18 PM. The officer assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle pursuit on eastbound Highway 30. The vehicle was stopped in the 600 block of Highway 30 and the driver was taken into custody.

- 8:44 AM. A group of local law enforcement responded to a panic alarm at the Ogden High School. It was ultimately discovered to be a false alarm.
- 8:59 AM. The officer took a report of theft at the Ogden Caseys. The investigation is ongoing.
- 11:32 AM. The officer investigated a complaint of reckless driving on 216th St E. of Ogden. The officer checked the driver, and he was ok.
- 4:13 PM. The officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 600 block of W. Vine St.
- 4:19 PM. The officer investigated a complaint of a possible unsafe semi in the 300 blk of Highway 30. Everything was ok with the semi.
- 7:22 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders with a medical call at 208 E. Walnut St.

- 7:28 AM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders at 607 NW 7th St. Lot 8
- 1:43 PM. The officer did a welfare check at 320 SW 5th St. The Officer spoke to some kids about playing close to the street and also spoke to the adult supervising those kids.
- 7:02 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 225 SW 6th St.

- 11:15 PM. The officer investigated suspicious activity in the 200 blk. of NE 3rd St.
- 11:47 PM. The officer investigated suspicious persons in the 300 blk of E. Walnut St.
Saturday, March 1, 2025
- 12:01 AM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders in the 300 block of SW 4th St.
- 12:27 AM. The officer investigated harassment in the 200 block of NE 3rd St.
- 10:13 AM. The deputy responded to a report of barking dogs at 2 different residences in the 300 block of E Walnut St. One owner was notified and brought their dogs inside. The other owner was not located, and the dogs continued to bark outside while the deputy attempted to locate someone.
- 8:59 PM. The deputy conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of E Walnut St. The person in question was found to be fine.

- 12:37 AM. The deputy assisted medical personnel with a lift assist in the 300 block of SW 4th St.
