Police Report 2/24 - 3/1/2020

Monday February24, 2020
- 3:57 PM.  The officer received a report of an adult female and a small girl carrying a bucket and walking along the railroad tracks, picking up items.  They were walking westbound from NE 3rd Street Railroad Crossing.  The officer was unable to locate the subjects.
- 5:16 PM.  A deputy investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 300 block of West Walnut Street.
- 6:15 PM.  An employee of Community Methodist Church requested that a deputy check on a male subject who was at the church looking for assistance getting to Jefferson, Iowa.

Tuesday, February 25 2020
- 10:20 AM.  The officer took a cat to the Boone Area Humane Society.
- 1:13. PM.  Brent Buxton reported that someone had forced entry into his shop.
- 3:05PM.  The officer caught an opossum at 250 SW 5th Street.  The officer released the animal out in the county.

Thursday, February 27, 2020
- 9:54 AM. The officer investigated a complaint of harassment.
- 11:46 AM. The officer picked up a loose cat and took it to the Boone Humane Society.
- 12:28 PM. The officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 100 blk of W. Veterans Dr.  Paul Fangman, 42, of Boone, was backing a 2003 Suzuki from a parking stall and struck a 2018 Chevrolet driven by Nichole Smith, 32, of Boone.  There was approximately $5,000.00 damage to the Smith Vehicle and approximately $2,000.00 damage to the Fangman Vehicle.

Friday, February 28, 2020
- 9:45 PM. Deputies investigated a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on W. Walnut St. in Ogden. Deputies located the driver and the vehicle at the Lucky Pig. Deputies arrested John Paul Frank, 55, of Ogden, for alleged interference with official acts and public intoxication, and Deputies also arrested Brenda Frank, 54, of Ogden,  for alleged Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated test refusal.

Saturday, February 29, 2020
- 2:48 PM.  The officer received a complaint of a yellow Lab dog running at large in the 200 block of SE 4th.  The officer spoke with the owner, and they had caught the dog by the time the officer arrived.
- 3:37 PM.  The officer returned the wallet to an Ogden resident.
- 7:20 PM.  Ogden resident reported a possible scam.  A resident reported that a male subject had stopped at his house and was selling for US Distributing but had no brochure or any information.  The resident was concerned this was not a legitimate salesman.

Sunday, March 1, 2020
- 11:32 AM.  Mike McCutcheon reported that someone had forced entry into his residence at 507 NE 3rd Street.  Mike said that he is missing a lot of Green Bay Packers memorabilia, NASCAR memorabilia, and a knife collection.
- 2:20 PM.  The officer checked on a report of a vehicle in the ditch at F Avenue and 230th Street.  The vehicle had gone into the ditch just east of E Avenue.  There was a tow truck on the scene upon the officer’s arrival.  The subject had looked away from the road and drove into the ditch, and his drive shaft broke while attempting to drive back out.
