Monday, January 29, 2024
- 9:53 AM. The officer took a report of an animal complaint in the 200 block of E Sycamore St. The investigation is ongoing.
- 1:45. PM. Report of a scam attempt. The reporting party stated they received a phone call displayed as 926268. The scammer identified himself as John Cooper and told the reporting party that they had won $7 million and a red car because she buys groceries in town. The call was not allowed to go any further.

Tuesday, January 30, 2024
- 5:14AM. The deputy assisted with a medical call in the 500 block of SW 5th St.
- 8:57 AM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of E Walnut St.
- 5:42 PM. The officer responded to a fire alarm in the 300 block of W Sycamore St. It was determined to be false.

Wednesday, January 31, 2024
- 11:21 PM. The officer and Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of E Walnut St.

Thursday, February 1, 2024
- 3:01 AM. The deputy checked on a suspected disabled vehicle near the Highway 30 overpass. It turned out to just be a driver who pulled over due to being tired.
- 4:59 AM. The deputy assisted with a medical call in the 500 block of SW 5th St.
- 6:25 AM. The deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of S 1st St.
- 8:49 AM. The officer was asked to check a residence in the 100 block of E Division St for two students who had left the school. The students had returned before the officer’s arrival.
- 11:41 AM. The officer was in the area of the Ogden Middle/High School when an open line 911 call came out. There was nothing heard on the phone line, and the officer did not observe any issues in the area.
- 12:20 PM. The officer responded to Vision Bank to take a report of a scam. The victim was contacted via phone by a man claiming to be with Social Security. The scammer was able to get information from the victim, including checking account number, driver’s license number, social security number, home address, and more. Bank staff was in the process of assisting the victim with contacting the proper institutions to get their information flagged/reported. At the time of the report, there was no money transferred or stolen.
- 6:29 PM. The officer responded to a dog bite near NW 4th St and W Sycamore St. The victim had puncture marks on their leg from where they were bitten by an unknown gray dog while they were out walking. The officer was unable to locate the dog and was not given any more description other than “a knee-high gray dog.”
- 7:06 PM. The officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 500 block of E Walnut St. The subject was located and appeared to be fine.

Friday, February 2, 2024
- 12:58 PM. The officer assisted Ames PD with delivering a message in the 300 block of NE 3rd St.
- 1:21 PM. Logan Holzapfel, 25-year-old of Ogden, was cited for Annoyance/Disturbance by Animals and released with her promise to appear. This was regarding the investigation from Monday, January 29, 2024.
- 1:57 PM. The officer assisted with a motor vehicle collision at Highway 30 and D Ave.
- 4:38 PM. The officer investigated an animal complaint in the 700 block of W Sycamore St.

Saturday, February 3, 2024
- 2:52 PM. The deputy investigated a report of a male standing in the middle of the Highway 30 ramp. The deputy was unable to locate anyone matching the description in the area.
- 3:24 PM. The deputy took a harassment report in the 300 block of NE 3rd St.

Sunday, February 4, 2024
- 7:40 AM. The deputy returned a phone call regarding an animal complaint in the 300 block of E Division St. The Boone Area Humane Society was also contacted.
