Monday, January 25, 2021
- 12:15 PM. The officer checked on suspicious activity in the 300 block of SE 2nd St.
- 2:20 PM. The officer investigated a report of a phone scam.
- 2:34 PM. The officer did a welfare check on an Ogden resident.
- 3:00 PM. The officer arrested Talon Church, 23, of Ogden, on a Boone County warrant.

- 11:26 AM. The officer handled a property dispute at 506 W. Sycamore St.
Wednesday, January 27, 2021
- 9:32 AM. The officer received a complaint of an Ogden resident receiving a phone scam. The resident had received a call from a subject claiming to be a grandchild and needed money to get out of jail.
- 10:10 AM. The officer assisted Iowa State Patrol and Boone County Deputies with a high-speed chase eastbound on 220th from Greene County. An officer deployed stop sticks at G Avenue and 220th Street, which were successful in deflating the tires on the suspect vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was stopped in the 700 block of 220th Street.
- 10:30 PM. Boone County Hospital notified the Boone Area Humane Society that a female juvenile had been bitten by a Golden Retriever Dog. This took place in the area of the old Howe Elementary Building on SE 2nd Street. The dog has not been located at this time.

- 7:55 AM. The officer assisted Boone County Ambulance at 513 W Maple Street.
- 9:56 AM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 1:25 PM. The officer assisted subjects stuck in the snow.
- 3:55 PM. The officer assisted a motorist who was out of gas.
- 4:06 PM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 513 W Maple Street.

- 11:06 AM. The officer received a report of a blue van traveling at a high rate of speed north on H Avenue from 310th Street. The officer stopped the van in the 1300 block of H Avenue. The Officer cited driver Darrell Cross, 45, of Ogden, for speed.
- 2:04 PM. The officer received a report of a gold Oldsmobile with no plates that had just left Boone westbound on 220th Street after throwing a bottle out of the window. The officer
stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of 220th Street. The officer cited Lynn Johnson, 53, of Des Moines, for Littering on Public Land and warned of No insurance.
- 3:35 PM. The officer received a complaint of a pickup truck parked close to mailboxes in the 200 block of S 1st Street, making it difficult to clear snow away from mailboxes.
Saturday, January 30, 2021
- 11:08 AM. The Ogden resident gave the Ogden officer a payroll check that he had found while out walking. The officer made contact with a family member of the owner of the check and advised she could pick up the check-up at Ogden City Hall.
- 3:27 PM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.

- 11:09 AM. The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 11:15 AM. The officer assisted Boone County Deputy and Ogden Fire Department with a pickup truck on fire in the I 1300 block of H Avenue.
- 10:34 PM. Deputies responded to an alarm at Vision Bank. This was set off accidentally by the cleaning crew.
SNOW REMOVAL PSA:
Residential property owners are reminded they have 48 hours from the time snow stops falling to remove the snow from their sidewalks.
Commercial property owners (Downtown Business District) have 24 hours from the time snow stops falling. Commercial property owners (Downtown Business District) are reminded to have snow pushed off the sidewalk/curb into the parking so the street crew can remove the snow and your customers can access the sidewalk from the parking space. Clean the sidewalk/curb within 24 hours from the time snow stops falling, and the street department will be able to clear the snow when they clear the street.
Per city code, if you do not clean your sidewalks, the city can hire someone to do it and assess against your taxes.
