Police Report 12/27 - 1/6/2019

Thursday, December 27, 2018
- 12:01. PM.  Ogden officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a traffic stop at NW 3rd and Sycamore Street.
- 7:31PM.  The officer received a report of a stray dog running loose in the 100 block of West Veterans Drive.  The officer was unable to locate the dog.
- 7:57 PM.  Ogden resident reported being harassed via text message.
- 9:53 PM.  The resident at 420 NE 3rd said that some unknown male walked in her back door and then left.  The male was wearing a black hoodie.  The officer and Boone County Deputy were unable to locate the subject.
- 10:55 PM.  The officer assisted the Boone County Deputy on a traffic stop at South First Street and Veterans Drive.  The officer transported the subject to Boone County jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Friday, December 28, 2018
- 7:59 AM.  The officer responded to a single-vehicle accident at D Avenue and 220th Street because the Boone County Deputy was busy with another accident.  The vehicle, which was southbound on D Avenue was unable to stop due to an icy roadway and slid into the stop sign at 220th Street.  The stop sign was knocked down and approximately $600.00 was damage to the vehicle.  The DOT was notified of the down-stop sign.  There was no state report filed.
- 10:00 AM.  The officer received a report of a suspicious subject that had been parked outside of an apartment building on SW 6th Street Thursday evening.
- 3:35 PM.  The officer returned a phone call to a Woodbury County Deputy, who was trying to locate a subject in Ogden.  The officer notified the Deputy the subject had moved to Des Moines.
- 6:22 PM.  The deputy assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.

Saturday, December 29, 2018
- 10:50 AM.  The officer provided a funeral escort from Carson/Stapp Funeral Home to Glenwood Cemetery.
- 3:40 PM.  The officer assisted Boone County Deputy by opening City Hall to allow a woman and 6-month-old baby to wait for a ride, due to the fact their car had stalled west of Ogden.

- 12:18 PM. The officer investigated an intrusion alarm at the Ogden Middle School.
- 12:30 PM. The officer investigated an intrusion alarm at the Ogden Middle School.
- 6:23 PM. The deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 700 block of West Division St.

Tuesday, January 1, 2019
- 3:15. AM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders at 420 W. Cherry St.
- 5:12PM. A deputy investigated an incomplete 911 call in the 300 blk of W. Veterans.

Wednesday, January 2, 2019
- 10:42 AM.  The officer assisted another agency in locating an individual.
- 1:32 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 3:25 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.

Thursday, January 3, 2019
- 8:32 AM.  Ogden officer and Boone County Deputy checked on the welfare of an Ogden resident.  The subject advised he was fine and declined any assistance from the officers.
- 4:03 PM.  The officer responded to a 2-vehicle accident on the eastbound 220th Street off-ramp to H Avenue.  There was less than $1,500.00 in damage, so no state report was filed.
- 6:40 PM.  The officer received a complaint of vehicles parked on the traveled portion of the road in the 600 block of West Oak Street.  The officer had the owner of the vehicle that was on the road move the vehicle.

Friday, January 4, 2019
- 12:40 PM.  The officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone Fire Rescue on a medical call.
- 6:47 PM.  The officer received a complaint of someone lighting off fireworks in the 200 block of SW 6th Street.  The officer was unable to locate who was lighting off the fireworks.

Saturday, January 5, 2019
- 2:25 PM.  The officer received a report of 2 motorcycles traveling north on H Avenue from 260th Street.  The reporting party claimed that 1 of the motorcycles passed on the right side of the vehicle.  The officer stopped the motorcycle in question, in the 1200 block of H Avenue.  The driver and passenger of the motorcycle denied any illegal passing.
- 2:48 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 7:42 PM.  The officer assisted the stranded motorist.
- 9:17 PM.  The officer assisted the Boone County Deputy with a traffic stop in the 400 block of 220th Street.

Sunday January 6, 209
- 1:40 PM.  Jon Olson reported that someone had cut the lock off of his storage unit at 244 Haws Drive.  Jon said that he is missing a 21 HP Husqvarna riding mower with a 48” deck and a Can-Am Bombardier 650 ATV. Jon is not sure when this happened, as the last time he was at the storage unit was in August 2018.
