Police Report 12/16 - 12/22/2024

Monday, December 16, 2024
- 8:41 AM. The officer took a report of a missing juvenile. It was quickly determined that the juvenile had run away and did not appear to be in any danger. The juvenile was located a short time later and returned home safely.
- 10:49 AM. The officer responded to a second call of the same juvenile running away on foot from the 200 block of SE 4th St. The juvenile was not located within an hour and was entered as a runaway. Later that afternoon the officer spotted the juvenile in the passenger seat of a vehicle and followed them back to the juvenile’s home. While at the house it was discovered that a firearm was missing from the home. The firearm was eventually located, and a criminal investigation is ongoing.
- 3:10 PM. The officer responded to the Ogden Middle/High School to take a report of a bomb threat that had been received via the social media outlet, Snapchat. The origin of the account was unknown and there was no specific target mentioned. The officer was able to retrieve all available information related to that account from Snap, Inc., and determined that whoever created the account was not local and that there was no credible threat.
- 3:45 PM. The deputy investigated an open-line 911 call from the 300 block of SW 2nd St. It was discovered to be an accidental call due to a phone issue.
- 6:06 PM. The deputy provided a vehicle unlock in the 500 block of E Walnut St.

- No reported activity.

Wednesday, December 18, 2024
- 7:25 AM. The deputy provided a vehicle unlock in the 500 block of W Division St.
- 10:11 AM. The officer investigated a report of theft of services in the 300 block of W Elm St. The suspect was located and was warned not to use the church’s dumpster anymore.
- 7:21 PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of W Division St.

Thursday, December 19, 2024
- 7:18 PM. The officer assisted the Ogden Fire Department with a residential fire in the 400 block of SW 5th St.

Friday, December 20, 2024
- 6:48 PM. Deputies conducted a welfare check on an individual experiencing a mental health crisis in the 100 block of E Elm St. The individual was transported to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation and care.

Saturday, December 21, 2024
- No reported activity.

Sunday, December 22, 2024
- 10:34 AM. The deputy provided a vehicle unlock at the Ogden Caseys.
- 12:26 PM. The deputy assisted a resident in the 500 block of NW 7th St who was having difficulty getting her new house key to work. The deputy was successful in getting the key to work.
