- 3:00 PM. The officer assisted the motorist locked out of the vehicle.
Friday, December 16, 2022
- 2:38 PM. Ogden officer assisted Boone Police Officer in trying to locate an Ogden resident who was involved in a hit/run accident in Fareway Parking Lot in Boone. The officer called and left a message on the resident’s phone due to the fact he was not home.
- 5:05 PM. The deputy received a report of an Ogden resident being scammed out of a large amount of money. The scammer was a scruffy-looking male driving a white SUV. The man told the resident that a family member had been in a bad accident and killed someone. The family member was going to be taken to jail if the money wasn’t paid. The Ogden resident went to the bank, got the money, and paid the subject. The resident later spoke with a family member and discovered this was a scam.
- 10:15 PM. Deputy responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 600 block of E Walnut Street. A 2005 Ford Expedition was westbound on Walnut when the driver lost control on the ice, crossed the road, and struck a utility pole. The pole was sheared off, and a couple of telephone pedestals were hit. Ogden Municipal Utilities was contacted about the utility pole.
