Monday, November 10, 2025
-11:10AM. Deputy assisted a subject with a civil matter.
-12:57PM. Deputy assisted a stranded motorist in the 300 block of W. Walnut St.

Tuesday, November 11, 2025
-Received information about a phone scam. Reporting party stated they received a call from 515-414-8444 claiming to by with Hy-Vee Pharmacy calling about a prescription. They immediately asked for the reporting party’s date-of-birth, which she did not disclose. Instead, she called Hy-Vee and verified that the phone number was not associated with them, and it was most likely a scam fishing for personal information.

Wednesday, November 12, 2025
-6:04PM. Officer followed up on a complaint of animal abuse in the 400 block of E Walnut St.
-8:50PM. Officer and deputy responded to a medical call in the 200 block of NE 3rd St.
-9:23PM. Officer and deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity near the Ogden Caseys. Law enforcement made contact with a group of kids who were being loud and playing around. There was no criminal element and the kids moved on.

Thursday, November 13, 2025
-7:45AM. Officer responded to a report of a loose dog dragging a chain near NW 2nd St and W Elm St. A neighbor and the officer recognized the dog and walked it home.
-12:36PM. Officer responded to Highway 30 to assist with a report of a reckless semi that had reportedly blown the 4-way-stop in Boone. Officer located the semi and attempted to initiate a traffic stop near G Avenue. The semi continued driving before eventually going off road in the 100 block of Highway 30 and rolling onto its side. Officer and deputies were able to safely remove the driver. It is believed the driver was experiencing a health issue.
-1:28PM. Officer responded to a minor motor vehicle collision in the 100 block of S 1st St.
-3:25PM. Officer received a report of a dog running loose near the intersection of 1st St and Walnut St. Officer searched the surrounding area but was unable to locate it.

Friday, November 14, 2025
-10:30AM. Officer took a report from the 500 block of NE 4th St that their domesticated cat was brought to the vet with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The cat was allowed to roam outside so there is no certainty where it happened. The investigation is ongoing.
-1:07PM. Officer performed a welfare check on an individual in the 600 block of W Walnut St. The person in question was found to be fine.
-7:58PM. Officer responded to an open-line 911 call in the 200 block of W Walnut St.

Saturday, November 15, 2025
-11:15AM. Deputy responded to assist an individual in the 200 block of SE 2nd St with picking up clothing and makeup that were left in the yard.
-2:51PM. Deputy assisted with a vehicle that was broke down in the intersection of SW 5th St and W Division St.
-7:25PM. Deputy responded to a report of dogs barking in the 600 block of E Division St regarding dogs barking. The deputy was unable to locate.
-8:54PM. Deputy took a report of unknown juveniles harassing a couple in the 700 block of W Oak St. The reporting party did not know who they were but stated a group of approximately 3 juveniles have been banging on the doors of the house and standing outside screaming. The investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, November 16, 2025
-5:55AM. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Caseys parking lot that had been parked with its hazards on for a couple of hours. The vehicle had struck a deer and was waiting on a tow.

NOTE: Open burning runs through November 30th. Any burning of landscape shall not start before 10am and must be completely extinguished each day by 8pm. Recreational fires such as firepits and grills may be used at any time. Burning garbage, treated/sawn wood, or tires is still prohibited. Please use common sense while burning and be courteous of your neighbors.
