-1:30PM. Officer provided a funeral escort to the north limits of town.
-3:44PM. Officer responded to a single vehicle collision in the 600 block of N 1st St. No one was injured but a mailbox post was damaged. The owners of the mailboxes were contacted, and arrangements were made to replace the post.

-6:33AM. Deputies assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of NW 7th St.
-9:29AM. Officer assisted Middle School personnel with a student experiencing a mental health issue.
-12:13PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of E Elm St. Life Flight was also contacted to assist and picked the patient up at the old Howe School property.
-12:56PM. Officer responded to the 600 block of W Walnut to assist with someone experiencing a mental health crisis. The patient voluntarily went to the hospital for an evaluation and treatment.
-4:51PM. Deputies assisted with a house fire in the 300 block of SE 4th St.
-10:14PM. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near E Sycamore St and NE 2nd St. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle upon his arrival.

-12:28AM. Deputies assisted with a report of a deceased male in the 200 block of W Maple St. The death was not suspicious.
Sunday, October 12, 2025
-4:05PM. Deputy responded to a request for a welfare check on a male sitting out in front of Zion Lutheran Church. The male had been recently kicked out of a home in town and was waiting on a ride to come pick him up.
-8:09PM. Deputy attempted to locate a reported white truck driving recklessly near W Division St and SW 4th St. Deputy was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.
NOTE: Open burning begins this Wednesday, October 1st and runs through November 30th. Any burning of landscape shall not start before 10am and must be completely extinguished each day by 8pm. Recreational fires such as firepits and grills may be used at any time. Burning garbage, treated/sawn wood, or tires is still prohibited. Please use common sense while burning and be courteous of your neighbors.
