Monday, October 28, 2024
- 3:53 PM. The officer took a report of a payroll account that had been hacked. The victim had already filed a report with the FBI through the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
- 4:20 PM. The deputy provided a vehicle unlock in the 100 block of E Locust St.
Tuesday, October 29, 2024
- 9:06 AM. The officer responded to a report of loose dogs in the 300 block of S 1st St. The owner assisted with returning all 4 dogs to the house. The owner and the officer walked around the property to determine how the dogs had gotten loose as a broken door had previously been replaced that the dogs were escaping from. They found a sliding door in a child’s room that had been left open. The door was re-secured prior to leaving.
Wednesday, October 30, 2024
- 9:21 AM. The officer took a report of harassment/welfare check in the 700 block of W Cherry St due to threatening statements made by a resident. The subject in question had left town prior to the officer’s arrival.
- 12:43 PM. The officer responded to a burning complaint in the 100 block of E Division St. The fire was put out and the resident was advised of the county-wide burn ban.
- 12:52 PM. The officer investigated a report of a vehicle that failed to yield to the Ogden Fire Department’s truck while their emergency lights were activated. The vehicle was located a short time later and the driver was given a lesson on IA Code 321.324, Operation on Approach of Emergency Vehicles.
- 4:54 PM. The officer assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of W Division St.

- 11:11 AM. The officer assisted with traffic control for a funeral.
- 2:04 PM. The officer assisted an outside agency with a welfare check in the 500 block of W. Division St. The Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at this address following the welfare check.
- 8:51 PM. The officer assisted a subject with a lost animal in the 200 block of SE 2nd St. The Animal was located by its owner.
- Our department took several reports this evening of something strange in the neighborhood. Investigations revealed that there was something weird, and it didn’t look good. Reporting parties seemed confused as to who they needed to call.
Friday, November 1, 2024
- 1:33 PM. The deputy took a report of dependent adult abuse in the 600 block of E Oak St. The investigation is ongoing.
- 7:48 PM. The deputy investigated a report of barking dogs somewhere east of the 200 block of E Division St. The dogs were located in the 500 block of E Oak St. The owner was reached by phone and a neighbor was able to assist with returning the dogs inside.
Saturday, November 2, 2024
- 5:40 AM. The deputy provided a lift assist in the 200 block of E Walnut. The patient refused any further medical care.
- 8:10 AM. The officer provided an escort out of town for the Ogden High School Boys’ Cross Country Team on their way to a State Meet.
Sunday, November 3, 2024
- 9:12 AM. The deputy took a report of a lost dog that had been contained in the 400 block of E Sycamore St. An owner was not identified, so the Boone Area Humane Society was contacted to take possession of the dog.
- 4:57 PM. The deputy returned a phone call regarding a violation of a custody agreement. The reporting party only wanted a call for a service number for documentation.
NOTICES:
- The county-wide burn ban has been lifted. The City of Ogden will be in a period of open burning until November 30th between the hours of 10 am and 8 pm for landscape waste.
- The restrooms at the City Park have been winterized and will be closed until further notice. While closing them up, a couple of clothing items had to be removed from the toilets. This is a reminder to please respect our park and public utilities so they can be available for all to use without issue.
