Police Report 9/30 - 10/6/2019

Monday, September 30, 2019
- 4:30 PM.  A 2-wheel kick-and-go RAZOR scooter was turned in at Ogden City Hall.

Tuesday, October 1, 2019
- 2:02 PM.  The officer responded to a lifeline going off at an Ogden residence.  The resident had set it off accidentally while cleaning.

Wednesday, October 2, 2019
- 12:44 AM.  The officer responded to a panic alarm at an Ogden residence.  This was set off accidentally by the resident.
- 10:40 AM.  The officer received a complaint of theft of property from a landlord by a renter.
- 2:50 PM.  Ogden resident called to report that a soon-to-be ex-family member is on her cellular plan and won’t return the cellular phone.  The officer advised this is a civil issue.
- 7:30 PM.  Ogden resident called to report a barking dog in a residence south of him.  The officer could hear no dog barking upon his arrival.

Thursday, October 3, 2019
- 8:08 AM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 8:09 AM.  Ogden residents reported a smell they believed to be marijuana in the hallway of an apartment building.  The officer was on another call but could smell nothing in the hallway, and nobody would come to the door of the apartment.
- 1:00 PM.  The officer assisted the subject locked out of the vehicle
- 2:30 PM.  The officer received a report of an Emu walking in traffic at 230th and H Avenue.  The Emu had entered the corn field on the north side of 230th west of H Avenue and continued west.  The officer was unable to catch the bird and lost the bird when it crossed over into a bean field.
- 3:50 PM.  The officer received a complaint of a sick raccoon.  The officer dispatched and disposed of the animal.
- 5:48 PM.  The deputy responded to a report of a possible violation of the protective order.  The subject was gone upon the deputy’s arrival.

Friday, October 4, 2019
- 6:56 AM.  The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden Farm/Feed.  This was set off by an employee as he was opening the store.
- 8:40 AM.  The officer received a complaint of a small dog running loose in the 500 block of West Walnut Street.  The officer found the dog outside of its residence in the 600 block of West Walnut Street.  The officer notified the owner that the dog had been running off the property and needed to be tied up when outside.
- 2:55 PM.  The officer received a complaint of people burning trash.  The officer spoke with the subject about a small recreational fire, who also had thrown plastic bottles and food containers into the fire.  The officer had subjects take the bottles out of the fire and warned that trash cannot be burned.
- 6:53 PM.  The deputy was asked to make contact with an Ogden resident in regards to him and some friends leaving an Ames establishment without paying for merchandise.
