Police Report 8/3/2026-8/9/2026
Monday, August 3, 2026
-10:45AM. Report of burning in the 300 block of W Mulberry St.
-11:11AM. Officer responded to a 911 hang up in the 300 block of SW 5th St. Officer located a 5-year-old who admitted to dialing 911 on the phone he was playing with. The child was given a reminder on proper use of 911 and the adult on scene was informed that even out-of-service phones will still dial out for 911.
-1:28PM. Officer assisted deputies with locating an individual with a court-ordered committal in the 600 block of E Oak St. The individual was transported to the Boone County Hospital by a deputy.
-1:30PM. Accura Healthcare filed a report about a former employee stealing from the property.
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
-8:24AM. Officer took a report about a bad check being passed at Fareway. After looking into it further it was discovered that there was a technical error and there was no crime.
Wednesday, August 5, 2026
-1:17AM. Deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 400 block of SW 4th St. The deputy searched the area but was unable to locate anyone or anything out of place.
-9:11AM. Officer attempted to return a phone call regarding an animal complaint in the 600 block of E Oak St.
-11:29AM. Officer responded to a report of suspicious activity at the car wash. After realizing that certain details weren’t making sense, the officer realized that the caller was calling from Ogden, Utah. The caller was advised to call his local law enforcement.
-7:37PM. Deputy responded to a report of a salesman harassing a resident in the 600 block of N 1st St. The suspect was located nearby and presented his solicitor’s permit and denied acting inappropriately. Officer contacted the employer the following day.
-11:18PM. Deputies assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of E Division St.

-No reported activity.
Friday, August 7, 2026
-7:04AM. Deputy responded to an alarm at Ogden Farm & Feed. Employees were on scene and it was determined to be a false alarm.
-11:45AM. Officer took a report of a loose dog near the 100 block of E Elm St. Officer recognized the dog and returned it home in the 500 block of NE 3rd St. It is believed the dog escaped through a damaged gate.
-6:47PM. Deputy followed up on a 911 hang up in the 300 block of NW 4th St. It was an accidental dial.
