Police Report 8/20 - 8/26/2018
Monday, August 20, 2018
- 10:21 AM. The officer was asked to look for a vehicle driving erratically westbound on 220th from Boone. The officer located and stopped the vehicle in the 600 block of 220th. The officer called for an ambulance as the driver was having medical issues.
- 1:04 PM. The officer assisted subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 6:09 PM. The officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a car/deer accident in the 800 block of 220th Street.

- 11:00 AM. The officer was asked to speak with an Ogden resident who was leaving his car parked at a business east of Boone. The officer notified the owner of the car not to park at the business anymore.
- 1:50 PM. The officer responded to an intrusion alarm at 201 W Locust Street. This was set off by an employee.
- 9:05 PM. The deputy received a complaint of a dog running loose in the 100 block of West Veterans Drive. The deputy said the dog had returned home.

- 4:42 AM. The deputy received a report that a male subject had taken a handgun from a residence that he was staying at and left. The male subject had texted that he was going to harm himself. 2 Boone County Deputies and an Ogden Police Officer responded. Deputies located the subject and took them into custody without incident. A handgun was recovered on the subject. The subject was transported to Boone County Jail and charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
- 2:30 PM. The officer responded to an accident involving a bicycle and a sport utility vehicle. Matthew Sego, 13, of rural Ogden, was riding his bicycle southbound on NW 4th Street, when he ran the stop sign at Walnut Street and ran into the side of a 2003 Dodge Durango driven by Lance Longhorn, 17, of Pilot Mound. Sego hit the Durango and then hit the pavement. Sego was complaining of pain in his head, arms, and legs. Sego was transported to Boone County Hospital.

- 9:10 AM. The officer was asked to help with 3 horses that were reported as running down the westbound lanes of 220th from Boone. The officer drove to Montana Street in Boone and did not see any horses.
- 9:55 AM. The officer assisted subject locked out of the vehicle.
- 9:02 PM. Deputy responded to a call from an Ogden resident who claimed he wanted to leave the house, but his wife wouldn’t let him. The subject was intoxicated and the deputy talked him into staying home for the night.

- 12:39 AM. Deputies responded to a domestic situation at 520 S 1st Street. The Female wanted her boyfriend to leave the apartment. Deputy gave the male subject a ride to Grand Junction.
- 5:30 AM. The officer assisted Deputy with a traffic stop of a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Minnesota. The traffic stop was at D Avenue and 220th Street.
- 8:15 AM. The officer returned a bicycle that was picked up last week to the owner.

- 11:38 AM. The officer provided a funeral escort from Community United Methodist Church to Glenwood Cemetery.
- 6:12. PM. Deputies and Ogden Fire responded to an air conditioner on fire at 625 SW 4th Street. The fire department was able to put the fire in the air conditioner condenser out and the damage was contained to the condenser unit.
- 7:22PM. The deputy responded to a report of a bat being inside of Howe Elementary School. A teacher was working in her classroom and had a bat in the room. The deputy removed the bat.

- 12:20 AM. The officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 327 SW 2nd St.
- 6:50 AM. The officer checked on a warrant on a subject.
- 2:12 PM. Officer spoke to a subject about riding an atv on city property.
- 3:02PM. Officer assisted Ogden Utilities with a power outage.
- 10:49PM. Deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 700 blk of West Division St.
