Police Report 8/17/2026-8/23/2026

Monday, August 17, 2026
-3:41PM. Officer took a phone call from the Missouri State Police regarding a subject in Ogden who had an active arrest warrant from 2014 that they were willing to extradite. Officer ultimately located 40-year-old Lacee Treloar, of Ogden, in the 700 block of W Division St. Once the warrant was confirmed the officer transported Treloar to the Boone County Jail. Treloar was also charged as a fugitive from justice.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026
-11:13AM. Officer took a phone call from the Kansas Bureau of Investigations regarding a tip they had received from someone they believed still resided in Ogden. Officer informed the Bureau that this individual had recently moved to Kansas.
-11:19AM. Officer returned a phone call to Storm Lake PD regarding questions about an investigation they were working on.
-3:03PM. Officer responded to a disturbance at the Ogden Middle/High School. The officer did not end up having to intervene as everything was calm upon arrival.
-5:07PM. Officer and deputy assisted Ogden Fire with a structure fire in the 400 block of W Sycamore St.
-9:38PM. Officer and deputies responded to an automated crash alarm near the Highway 30 offramp. It was discovered to be a false alarm due to a dropped phone.

Wednesday, August 19, 2026
-9:31AM. Officer took a report of a dog at large near NE 4th St and E Elm St. The officer was delayed in responding and was unable to locate the dog.
-4:34PM. Officer responded to a report of a barking dog near NE 4th St and Locust St.
-5:58PM. Deputy located a loose dog in the 600 block of SW 4th St and returned it home.
-8:15PM. Officer responded to a complaint of kids on a 4-wheeler causing a disturbance near the 600 block of W Locust. Officer located the children in the 200 block of NW 7th St and reminded them about staying on their own property and being respectful of neighbors in the evening hours.
-9:40AM. Officer took a report of a scam that happened overnight. The victims reported that they received a phone call around midnight stating that their adult son was currently in the Polk County Jail and that they needed to pay his bail. The scammers sent the victims cash requests as well as a Walmart barcode that they could use to direct deposit the funds. The victims were directed to a Walmart in Ankeny where they were instructed to deposit money to a company calling themselves "Pretrial Release". After the money transfer was completed they received an additional text message from the scammer with a picture of a duck and a rude message about the victim's wife. The victim was given contact information for Walmart’s fraud department as well as the website FraudReport.ftc.gov to fill out a report with the Federal Trade Commission.
Please remember: Scammers often use fear and urgency to get people to act before they have time to think. If you receive a call claiming a family member is in jail and needs money, do not send money or provide financial information. Hang up and independently contact the family member or the appropriate law enforcement agency using a known, legitimate phone number to verify the situation. Legitimate agencies will not pressure you into sending money through cash requests, gift cards, Walmart barcodes, cryptocurrency, or similar payment methods. When in doubt, slow down, verify, and contact law enforcement before sending any money.

Thursday, August 20, 2026
-11:50AM. Officer took a report of a person going through the dumpsters each night at the Ogden Elementary School and then dumping his own trash in the school’s dumpster. The suspect was located later that night and was asked not to return.
-3:05PM. Officer assisted with contacting the owner of the carwash in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr as a patron had accidentally lost her car keys in the vacuum.

Friday, August 21, 2026
-8:10AM. Officer responded to a fire alarm at the Ogden Elementary School. It was a false alarm due to dust from construction work.
-10:32AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 200 block of S 1st St whose friend had not heard from him in a while. Officer contacted the subject by phone as he was not at home.
-11:25AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 100 block of SW 7th St whose sister had not heard from her in months. Officer made contact with the subject and encouraged her to call her sister back.

Saturday, August 22, 2026
-10:56AM. Deputy conducted a welfare check on an individual in the 200 block of W Cherry St. Deputy made contact with the subject and spoke with family members about some suggestions on how to move forward with providing help.
-3:50PM. Deputy responded to a report of a scam in the 600 block of W Walnut St. The victim had gone to the bank and asked for 12 $1,000 cash orders that they then shipped via FedEx. The victim stated that the scammer pretended to be a federal agent and used threats of pending arrest warrants to get the victim to pay. The victim ultimately made contact with FedEx and their bank to cancel the shipment and payments.

Sunday, August 23, 2026
-10:00Am. Deputy responded to a 911 call that originated in Greene County of a female asking for help while in a car with her significant other. Deputy made contact with the vehicle at the Ogden Caseys and separated both occupants to begin interviews. The female who had made the 911 call stated that it was an over-reaction and she didn’t need any assistance. There was no evidence of a crime so the deputy allowed the two to keep traveling.
