Police Report 8/10/2026-8/16/2026
Monday, August 10, 2026
-12:25PM. Officer took a report of a theft in the 200 block of W Cherry St. After the investigation, there is no evidence that anything was actually taken. It appears this is a civil concern about a family member potentially allowing other people into the home.
-10:05PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of SW 2nd St.
-10:31PM. Deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of SW 2nd St and W Division St. The driver, 23-year-old Pragulnath Sivakumar, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Sivakumar was released with his promise to appear in court.

-2:00PM. Officer took a report of a nuisance complaint in the 600 block of Haws Dr. The homeowner was contacted and asked to remove the junk furniture that had been sitting on the curb for several weeks.
-6:07PM. Officer responded to a welfare check on dogs left in a vehicle in the 100 block of W Walnut St. Officer located the owners eating at the Lucky Pig and had them ensure that the dogs had sufficient water and air.

-10:04AM. Officer responded to a report of a reckless 4-wheeler driving near the area of the 600 block of W Locust St. Officer located 2 young girls on a 4-wheeler in the 200 block of NW 7th St. They were told they needed to stay in their yard and were not allowed to drive in the streets and alleys.
-10:54AM. Officer returned a phone call regarding a question about a civil property concern.
-12:52PM. Officer returned a phone call to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services to assist them with a report of a sex offender registry violation in the 200 block of NW 7th St. Officer verified the residency of the registered offender and made sure the homeowner was aware that minors could not spend any time at the house without another adult present.
-9:08PM. Officer attempted to locate a reckless driver that had last been seen in the 900 block of H Ave approximately 5-10 minutes earlier. Officer was unable to locate any vehicles matching the description.

-10:51AM. Officer responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 600 block of W Walnut St where a mailbox had been destroyed for the second time in the span of approximately 10 days. The investigation is ongoing.
-11:28PM. Office responded to a noise complaint in the 200 block of S 1st St. Officer made contact with a homeowner and was asked to turn their loud music down.

-10:11AM. Officer responded to a report of loose dogs in the 300 block of E Walnut St. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate any loose dogs.
-7:09PM. Deputy took a report of a theft in the 600 block of E Oak St.
-7:41PM. Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of W Cherry St. The incident was verbal only and the involved parties agreed to separate for the night.
Saturday, August 15, 2026
-12:15AM. Deputy returned to the 400 block of W Cherry St due to another argument breaking out over a civil issue.
-7:11AM. Deputy responded to a fire alarm at the Ogden Middle/High School. A staff member was contacted who advised it was a faulty alarm that was being worked on.
-11:31AM. Deputy provided a funeral escort from the funeral home to 180th Ave.
-7:07PM. Deputy responded to a 911 hang up in the 600 block of Haws Dr. It was an accidental dial.

-12:32PM. Deputy returned a phone call regarding a child custody dispute in the 200 block of NW 7th St.
-8:22PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of Haws Dr.
