Monday, June 22, 2026
-No reported activity.

Tuesday, June 23, 2026
-2:59PM. Officer received a report of a loose dog that had been located by staff at Caseys. Officer recognized the dog and returned it home to its owners in the 300 block of W Division St.
-4:24PM. Officer responded to the area of Highway 30 in response to a report of a reckless driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 30 and E Ave. The driver showed no evidence of intoxication but was tired from being on the road all day.

Wednesday, June 24, 2026
-7:36AM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 500 block of W Division St.
-5:55PM. Officer was flagged down in the 300 block of SE 2nd St regarding a 6-year-old who had not returned from a bike ride. The father called back later and stated that the child had returned home safely.

Thursday, June 25, 2026
-8:15AM. Officer noticed an unoccupied vehicle with its hatch open in the parking lot of St. John’s Catholic Church. Officer was able to locate the owner and verify that everything was fine, and they had just forgotten to secure it.
-11:45AM. Officer took a complaint of a bolt protruding on the N 1st St railroad crossing. Officer was able to use a hammer to reset the bolt. Officer had to return a couple of hours later and do the same. The Union Pacific Railroad was contacted both times and informed that they needed to fix the problem.
-4:02PM. Officer assisted a citizen with a civil matter in the 400 block of W. Elm St.
-8:13PM. Officer assisted a subject with a medical problem in the 500 block of E. Walnut St.

Friday, June 26, 2026
-4:16PM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a juvenile in the 200 block of SW 3rd St. The child denied any issues and had family on scene for support if needed.

Saturday, June 27, 2026
-9:06AM. Deputy returned a phone call regarding a child custody exchange.
-11:16AM. Deputy conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of E Division St on an individual who had not been heard from for a while. The subject in question was found to be fine and just had a dead phone battery.
-1:32PM. Deputy conducted a welfare check on a customer at Dollar General who was reportedly acting strange. The customer was deemed well enough to return home on their own.
-8:25PM. Deputy conducted a welfare check on a child at the city park who was reportedly not being properly supervised. Deputy made contact with the child and his guardians.
