Monday, June 1, 2026
-10:02PM. Deputies conducted a welfare check on a subject tin the 500 block of E Oak St. The subject was found to be fine.
Tuesday, June 2, 2026
-9:15AM. Officer searched the area of W Mulberry St and SW 2nd St regarding a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be following a pedestrian. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle in question.
-10:22AM. Officer took a report of possible fraudulent activity. The reporting party stated that he was contacted by Amazon’s Fraud Department stating that he had a fraudulent purchase on his account. The phone call was cut short and no further information was given/received. The reporting party stated that he doesn’t even have an Amazon account. This was believed to be a potential scam call. The reporting party was encouraged to still check with his bank to ensure there were no purchases.
-10:26AM. Officer assisted with a vehicle that was abandoned at Auto Electric & Tune-up.
-12:34PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of W Walnut St.

-11:03AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a subject who hadn’t been seen or heard from in several days. Officer was able to verify that the subject in question was hospitalized and receiving care.
-12:30PM. Officer took a report of a dog at large in the 200 block of SW 5th St. Officer recognized the description of the dog and contacted the owner by phone.

Friday, June 5, 2026
-6:55AM. Deputy responded to a noise complaint in the 600 block of NW 7th St. Deputy located a vehicle alarm going off. The registered owner lived with the complainant and was informed so that they could turn it off.
-8:42AM. Deputy returned a phone call regarding a suspicious person seen walking around the car wash in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr, the previous afternoon. Deputy advised the caller to call back if he was seen again.

-2:27AM. Deputy located a running vehicle with no one in it near the intersection of W Mulberry St and SW 3rd St. Deputy located the owner going through her property at the nearby storage units.

-10:37PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of W Division St.

-7:42AM. Deputy responded to a security alarm in the 300 block of W. Walnut St. Everything was ok it was determined to be employee error.

-10:56AM. Deputy did a welfare check in the 500 block of W. Division St. Deputy was unable to reach anyone.
-4:55PM. Officer responded to an intrusion alarm in the 500 block of W. Walnut St. Everything was ok it was a property owner error.
-5:37PM. Officer assisted a citizen with a motor vehicle question.

-8:21PM. Officer received a tip regarding possible drug usage in town. The investigation is ongoing.
-11:32PM. Officer assisted Boone County Conservation and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a report of an assault at the Don Williams Campground.

-7:39PM. Deputy responded to a request for a vehicle unlock in the 200 block of W Sycamore St.
-8:28PM. Deputy conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 300 block of SW 5th St. The subject in question was found to be fine.
-8:35PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of SW 6th St.
