NOTE: With the unusual (yet welcome) warm weather recently, more people have been out walking/running in town. Our department has received complaints of pedestrians being chased or approached by dogs that are not properly secured. City Ordinance 55.06 makes it unlawful for any owner to allow an animal to run at large within the city corporate limits and City Ordinance 55.13 states that animals found at large will be impounded or, at the officer’s discretion, the owner may be served a summons to appear in court. Please do your part in keeping all pets properly secured. This ensures the safety of our community members and our pets. Thank you.
