NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DESIGNATION OF EXPANDED OGDEN URBAN RENEWAL AREA AND ON PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT

Notice Is Hereby Given:  That at 6:15 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers, 513 W. Walnut St., Ogden, Iowa, on November 10, 2026, the City Council of the City of Ogden, Iowa (the “City”) will hold a public hearing on the question of amending the urban renewal plan (the “Plan”) for the Ogden Urban Renewal Area and designating an expanded Ogden Urban Renewal Area (the “Urban Renewal Area”), pursuant to Chapter 403, Code of Iowa, by adding and including certain real property (the “Property”) situated in the City of Ogden, Boone County, State of Iowa, more particularly described as follows:

Certain real property situated in the City of Ogden, Boone County, State of Iowa, more particularly described as follows:

All of the public right-of-way of Division Street/219th Street situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ogden, Boone County, Iowa;

All of the public right-of-way of Walnut Street situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ogden, Boone County, Iowa;

All of the public right-of-way of 216th Street situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ogden, Boone County, Iowa;

All of the public right-of-way of S 1st Street situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ogden, Boone County, Iowa; and

All of the public right-of-way of W Veterans Drive/E Veterans Drive situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ogden, Boone County, Iowa.

South 66 feet of Lot two (2), and all of Lot thirteen (13), Lot sixteen (16), except North 185 feet thereof, Lot seventeen (17), and West half (1/2) of Lot eighteen (18) in J. H. That portion of East Fifth Street between the South line of Division Street and the North line of Linn Street; that portion of the alley between East Fourth Street and East Fifth Street from the South line of Division Street to the North line of Linn Street; and Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot one (1) in Nylander's Addition to Ogden, Iowa, thence South to the Southeast corner of Lot seven (7) of said Addition, thence East to the quarter line of Section five (5), Township. eighty-three (83) North, Range twenty-seven (27) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa, thence North along the quarter line of said Section five (5) to a point on said line due East of the point of beginning, thence West to the point of beginning.

The proposed amendment to the Plan (1) covers the addition of the Property to the Urban Renewal Area and makes such Property subject to the provisions of the Plan; and (2) authorizes the undertaking of a new urban renewal project in the Urban Renewal Area consisting of providing tax increment financing support to Division Rowhomes, LLC in connection with the construction of workforce housing and the related public infrastructure.

A copy of the amendment is on file for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk.

At said hearing any interested person may file written objections or comments and may be heard orally with respect to the subject matters of the hearing.
