Minutes for February 7, 2024

The Ogden City Council met in Special Session on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Mayor Mark Trueblood presided. Members present were Councilman Aaron Crane, Councilman David Ohlson, Councilman Brian Reimers, Councilwoman Lori Anderson and Councilwoman Margaret Liston. Absent: None. City staff present were City Administrator Emily Clausen and 1 guest.

Reimers made a motion, Anderson seconded to approve the agenda as presented.
Ayes: All Present, Motion Carried.

City Administrator Emily Clausen reviewed property tax information, payroll and insurance information, projected sources and uses of funds, transfers, fund balances and debt service. Mayor and Council reviewed proposed drafted budget that encompassed department requests. Budget items were discussed by council.

The Fiscal Year 2025 budget will be presented again for review and a public hearing date and time will be set for final approval of the budget at the April 23rd, 2024 special City Council meeting.

The Public Hearing for the proposed maximum property tax dollars to certify for levys will be held Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

David Bollenbaugh presented a layout to the council on his property. He is considering dividing the property into 4 to 6 lots rather than selling as a whole. He just wanted to see if that would follow city code. Council did not have any issues with his layout as they would all have street access. Permits and water/sewer connections would be on individuals who purchase the lots.

Todd Knight had spoken to the Administrator in regards to a sign he wants to erect at the old standard station. Administrator shared the photo with the council and it too appears that there is no violation of city code to do so.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Ohlson to approve Resolution No. 202402-572 to approve interfund transfers of sums and record the same in the appropriate manner for FY24.

Motion by Liston, second by Ohlson to adjourn at 3:36 p.m.
