STATEMENT OF COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
November 2nd, 2021
The Ogden City Council met in Special Session on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Brian Reimers presided with Mayor Denny Good present. Members present were Councilman Jason Weber, Councilman David Ohlson and Councilwoman Lori Anderson. City staff present were City Administrator Emily Clausen, City Clerk Melanie Olesen, Sewer Superintendent Chad Thede and City Attorney Lee Johnson. Absent: Councilwoman Margaret Liston. Additional attendees present were Scot Kinne from Fareway Stores, Wes Farrand from Snyder and Associates and Craig Christensen from Ogden Legacy.
Weber made a motion, Ohlson seconded to approve the agenda as presented.
Ayes: All Present, Motion Carried.
City Administrator Emily Clausen updated council on steps to finalize agreement with Fareway Stores. The Memorandum of Understanding is needed by Fareway Stores to move forward with ordering supplies. We will be working on the urban renewal area, TIF district and the development agreement in the coming months. Fareway has begun some soil sampling at the building site.
Motion by Anderson, second by Weber to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Ogden and Fareway Stores, Inc.
Ayes: All Present, Motion Carried.
Sewer Superintendent Chad Thede spoke to the council about recent conversations and meetings with Northern Natural Gas Company. Northern needs to bring their wastewater to the City and has begun construction of the new sewer line. The final agreement has been looked over by attorneys for the City and Northern.
Motion by Ohlson, second by Anderson to approve Resolution No. 202111-526 approving the Sanitary Sewer Connection Agreement between the City of Ogden and Northern Natural Gas.
Ayes: All Present, Motion Carried.
City Administrator Emily Clausen would like councilmembers to note nuisance properties that they feel need to be addressed. Our committee will then meet to discuss further action.

Councilmembers Comments: Jason Weber has been approached by the CHEERS group on a possible splashpad. They are looking into this and are considering where one could go in Ogden. Jason will keep council updated.
Motion by Anderson, second by Weber to adjourn at 7:16 p.m.
