Police Report 6/18/18-6/24/18

Monday June 18, 2018

-10:53AM.  Officer received a complaint from a citizen in regards to a van driving around taking pictures of residences.  The van was taking pictures for APPLE maps and is not violating any privacy issues.

-1:15PM.  Officer received a Home State Bank card and called Home State Bank and asked them to have owner of the card call Ogden PD.  The owner called back and advised officer to destroy the card.

-1:33PM.  Officer received a report of a possible intoxicated driver.  The officer stopped the vehicle in the 1300 block of H Avenue.  The driver was not intoxicated.

 

Tuesday June 19, 2018

-8:46AM.  Officer was asked to check on welfare of juveniles that were camping outside in the rain in the 100 block of E Locust Street.  The juveniles were fine.

 

Wednesday June 20, 2018

-7:33AM.  Ogden businessman requested assistance gaining access to his business as the lock was broken on the door.  The officer contacted a locksmith out of Boone to come over and assist the subject.

-9:33AM.  Employee of Caseys General Store reported that a subject left without paying for gas.  The employee knew the subject, so the officer called and left a message on subject’s answering machine to return and pay for the gas.

-1:46PM.  Boone County Sheriff checked on a residence to see if subjects were still living there for another agency.

 

Thursday June 21, 2018

-7:08AM.  Officer received a report of a vehicle that was driving eastbound on 220th from Grand Junction in a reckless manner.  The officer stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of E Avenue and the driver denied any issues with his driving and was not under the influence.

-8:57AM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 520 W Division Street.

-5:22PM.  Officer was asked to do a welfare check on subjects.  The individuals were fine.

-5:30PM.  Officer assisted subject in retrieving property.

 

Friday June 22, 2018

-1:50PM.  Officer received a complaint of subject sitting outside of house.  This was a mother who wanted to pick up her 15 year old child in regards to a custodial agreement.  The officer advised the mother the daughter did not want to go at this time and to contact her attorney.

-3:46PM.  Officer received a written complaint about an infestation of spiders and ants at a property in Ogden.  The officer and city administrator went and looked at the property, but were unable to determine a problem, so the city administrator was going to ask for help from another agency.

-4:30PM.  Officer received a complaint of  subjects riding a 4-wheeler on private/public property and tearing up the ground.  The officer was unable to locate anyone on 4-wheelers but did notice damage to property in the 500 block of south 1st Street.

8:16PM.  Deputy responded to 513 SW 5th Street to pick up a dog that was running at large.  The deputy returned dog to owner, from information on dog tag.

-8:20PM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

 

Saturday June 23, 2018

-7:45AM.  Officer was requested to stand-by for a child exchange.

-3:35PM.  Misty Stumbo reported that she lost her Samsung smart watch while she was at the City Park.

-11:30PM.  A wallet that was found in the City Park was turned over to an Ogden Officer.  The officer returned the wallet to the owner.

 

Sunday June 24, 2018

-8:05AM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

-10:35AM.  Jamie Moorman reported that he saw a young adult male riding his daughter’s bike at approximately 5:50AM.  The bike was taken from outside the residence, where his daughter was spending the night.  Officer was able to locate the bike and identify the male subject as Kaedon Barnes, 18, of Boone.  Barnes was arrested for alleged Theft-5th Degree and Criminal Trespass.  Barnes was taken to the Boone County Jail.

-5:28PM.  Deputy received a complaint of concrete debris being torn up by a passing train.  The debris was blocking the railroad crossing.  Deputy removed the debris from the crossing and notified the Union Pacific.
