Police Report 4/2/18-4/8/18

Monday April 2, 2018

-2:30PM.  An employee at Howe Elementary School complained of neighbor burning leaves and the smoke was entering the building.  Officer spoke with subject burning and advised to put out the fire.  Officer also reminded the resident of Ogden’s burning ordinance, which allows burning of yard waste from April 15 thru May 15 and again October 1 thru November 15.  Burning of firewood in fire pits or charcoal in grills are not restricted in this ordinance.

-3:40PM.  Officer provided a V.I.N. check on a sport utility vehicle for an Ogden resident, so he would be able to register the vehicle.

 

Tuesday April 3, 2018

-8:13AM.  Officer relayed a message to an Ogden resident.

 

Wednesday April 4, 2018

-7:08AM. Officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a two vehicle accident with injuries in the 1000 block of 220th Street.

-3:13PM. Officer investigated a minor two vehicle accident in the 300 block of E. Walnut St.  There was less than $1,500.00 damage, so no state report was filed.

 

Thursday April 5, 2018

-11:17AM Officer assisted a lost motorist in the 500 block of W Walnut St.

-11:43AM. Officer investigated suspicious activity at the Ogden High School. School staff handled the matter.

 

Friday April 6, 2018

-6:35AM. Officer checked on a suspicious person in the 400 block of SW 5th St.

-3:53PM. Officer assisted a lost motorist in the 600 block of 216th St.

 

Saturday April 7, 2018

-No reported activity.

 

Sunday April 8, 2018

-9:37PM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

 

 

 

PSA:  BOONE COUNTY LANDFILL IS PROVIDING FREE YARD WASTE DISPOSAL APRIL 16, 2018 THRU MAY 31, 2018.  ALL LOADS MUST BE COVERED OR THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.  BRANCHES MAY BE TIED DOWN, RATHER THAN COVERED WITH A TARP.
