-3:27PM Officer investigated suspicious activity at Accura Health.

-5:13PM. Deputy handled a civil matter at 443 E. Sycamore St.

-7:21PM. Deputy handled a noise complaint in the 300 blk of SW 3rd St.

 

Tuesday October 8, 2019

-7:45AM. Officer checked on a stranded motorist in the 600 block of highway 30.

-7:48AM. Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle at the Lincoln Prairie Park.

-8:51AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 119 E. Sycamore St.

-8:59AM. Officer  assisted a subject with a civil matter.

-3:43PM. Officer returned lost property to a citizen.

-6:01PM. Deputy investigated a possible child abduction. After investigation this was determined to be a misunderstanding.

-10:05PM. Deputies investigated a complaint of trespassing at 113 E. Locust St.

 

Wednesday October 9, 2019

-8:58AM. Deputy investigated a complaint of a gas drive off at Casey’s. Driver was located he will return and pay for the gas.

-7:04PM. Officer arrested Juan Garza at the Perry Police Dept on an outstanding Ogden PD warrant.

 

Thursday October 10, 2019

7:20AM. Deputy assisted a property owner with loose cattle at 908 H ave.

 

Friday October 11, 2019

-6:30AM. Deputy responded to a medical call at 502 NW 6th St.

-3:58PM. Officer removed a tree from the roadway at SW 4th and Division St.

-11:51PM. Officer removed a tree from the roadway in the 400 blk of NW 7th St.

 

Saturday October 12, 2019

-4:04AM. Deputies investigated a complaint of a possible assault at 526 SW 4th St. The argument was verbal only.

-8:25PM. Deputy handled an animal complaint in the 300 blk of E Division St.

Monday September 30, 2019

-4:30PM.  A 2-wheel kick and go RAZOR scooter was turned in at Ogden City Hall.

 

Tuesday October 1, 2019

-2:02PM.  Officer responded to a lifeline going off at an Ogden residence.  The resident had set it off accidentally while cleaning.

 

Wednesday October 2, 2019

-12:44AM.  Officer responded to a panic alarm at an Ogden residence.  This was set off accidentally by the resident.

-10:40AM.  Officer received a complaint of theft of property from a landlord by a renter.

-2:50PM.  Ogden resident called to report that a soon to be ex-family member is on her cellular plan and won’t return the cellular phone.  The officer advised this is a civil issue.

-7:30PM.  Ogden resident called to report a barking dog in residence south of him.  The officer could hear no dog barking, upon his arrival.

 

Thursday October 3, 2019

-8:08AM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-8:09AM.  Ogden resident reported smell they believed to be marijuana in hallway of an apartment building.  Officer was on another call, but could smell nothing in the hallway and nobody would come to the door at apartment.

-1:00PM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle

-2:30PM.  Officer received a report of an Emu walking in traffic at 230th and H Avenue.  The Emu had entered the corn field on the north side of 230th west of H Avenue and continued west.  The officer was unable to catch the bird and lost the bird when it crossed over into a bean field.

-3:50PM.  Officer received a complaint of a sick raccoon.  The officer dispatched and disposed of the animal.

-5:48PM.  Deputy responded to a report of a possible violation of protective order.  The subject was gone upon deputy’s arrival.

 

Friday October 4, 2019

-6:56AM.  Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden Farm/Feed.  This was set off by an employee as he was opening the store.

-8:40AM.  Officer received a complaint of a small dog running loose in the 500 block of  west Walnut Street.  The officer found the dog outside of its residence in the 600 block of  west Walnut Street.  The officer notified the owner that the dog had been running off property and needs to be tied up, when outside.

-2:55PM.  Officer received a complaint of people burning trash.  The officer spoke with subject with a small recreational fire, who also had thrown plastic bottles and food containers in the fire.  The officer had subjects take the bottles out of the fire and warned that trash cannot be burned.

-6:53PM.  Deputy was asked to make contact with an Ogden resident in regards to he and some friends leaving an Ames establishment without paying for merchandise.

Monday September23, 2019

-11:31AM.  Officer returned call to female subject reference a protective order violation.  The female lived in Boone, so officer asked a Boone officer to call her.

-12:40PM.  Ogden resident caught a Husky dog running loose in the 100 block of N 1st Street and turned over to officer.  Officer returned to owner, who was out looking for the dog.

-7:49PM.  Officer responded to an Ogden residence for a possible domestic situation.  This case was referred to Department of Human Services.

 

Tuesday September 24, 2019

-12:45PM.  Ogden resident called asking for assistance in locating his dog that had runaway.  He had seen a posting on Boone Community website about a chocolate lab that was found and when he contacted person, she would not give any information of where dog was.  Ogden officer asked Boone County Deputy to check address of person that had found the dog.  The dog was not the dog missing from Ogden.

-1:11PM.  Officer accompanied Department of Human Services worker to visit an Ogden resident.

-11:15AM.  Officer was asked to deliver a message to an Ogden resident for a subject that was in the hospital.

-12:30PM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

-7:30PM.  Deputy and Ogden officer delivered a death notification to an Ogden resident.

-8:36AM. Officer investigated a complaint of a reckless driver westbound on 220th from Boone. Officer located the vehicle, but the driver was driving fine.

Monday September 16, 2019

-12:06AM.  Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at the old Howe Elementary School building.  The building was secure.  This was determined to be a false alarm.

-9:15AM.  Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a 2-vehicle accident involving minor property damage.

-12:45PM.  ACCURA Health reported that a resident had walked away and a CNA was following him.  They would like an officer’s help in getting the resident back.  The resident and CNA were walking back to the facility upon officer’s arrival.

-2:30PM.  An employee of Caseys turned over a wallet that a customer had left on the counter.  Officer returned the wallet to owner.

-4:31PM.  Ogden resident said someone was using an email address that was very close to her name that went to her contacts and was asking for ITUNE cards and requesting pictures of the front and back of the cards for the number.  This is a scam that is going around.

-7:50PM.  Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at an Ogden residence.

-7:53PM.  Officer and Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with an 72 year old not feeling well at Ogden High School Football Game.

-9:15PM.  Deputy received a report of a 3 small children walking in the 400 block of N 1st Street.  Deputy located the children and they were looking for their mother.  The mother showed up while deputy was speaking with children.

-1:32PM.  Officer stood-by while female subject removed belongings from an Ogden residence.

-6:54PM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

 

Sunday September 22, 2019

-7:12AM.  Officer observed a resident of ACCURA Health Center walking alone in the 300 block of east Walnut Street.  Officer contacted ACCURA Health and asked if resident was supposed to be out walking by his self. Officer was advised that he was not and asked to bring resident back.  Officer gave resident a ride back to ACCURA Health.

-3:51PM.  Officer was asked to check on welfare of a female subject that was supposedly at an Ogden residence.  The female had left the residence prior to officer’s arrival.

-2:22PM. Officer received a complaint of an animal needing help in the 800 blk of N. 1st. A citizen was helping animal upon officer’s arrival.

-2:58PM. Officer assisted a citizen with a lost item in the 500 blk of W. Walnut St.

-6:46PM. Deputy responded to a fire alarm at the Ogden High School. It was a false alarm.

 

Wednesday September 11, 2019

-8:17AM.  Officer received a report of an adult male inside of the paper recycling bin in 100 block of NW 5th Street.  The subject had got inside to be out of the rain.  Officer gave the subject a ride to Boone.

-9:41AM.  Officer received a report of possible child abuse.

 

Thursday September 12, 2019

-2:35AM.  Deputy responded to a report of a subject driving his vehicle around property in the 400 block of West Sycamore and yelling obscenities.  Deputy warned the driver for disorderly conduct and warned the complainant for trespassing.

-8:00AM.  Street Superintendent reported the restrooms at the City Park have been vandalized again.  Someone is stuffing the toilets full of toilet paper.  This has happened several times.

-11:11AM.  Female subject called and reported that she was having trouble picking up her belongings from an Ogden residence.  The female was gone upon officer’s arrival.  Officer called her back and she advised she wanted to pick up her belongings.  Officer spoke with owner of residence and set up a time for her to come and get her items.  Officer advised the female of the date and time.

-11:49AM.  Ogden resident called to report that he believes his identity has been stolen.

-5:07PM.  Officer assisted stranded motorist.

-8:12PM.  An Ogden resident called officer to pick up a blonde colored lab with a red collar that was running loose.  The officer took to the City Kennel.

 

Friday September 13, 2019

-7:25AM.  Officer received a complaint of a dog attacking a cat.  The cat was inside a fenced in back yard with 3 dogs.  Neighbor was holding the dogs back, while officer retrieved the cat and took to the Boone Area Humane Society.

-7:45AM.  Officer returned the dog that was caught last night to owner.  Officer advised owner to notify the communications center, if the dog gets loose again.

-8:35AM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-3:28PM.  Officer received a report of a vehicle that was crossing the center line several times.  The vehicle was northbound on H Avenue from 270th Street.  Officer located the vehicle and stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of 220th westbound.  The driver was elderly and was sleepy.  The officer parked his patrol car and drove the subject to his residence in Grand Junction.  A Boone County Deputy picked the officer up and brought back to his patrol car.

-5:00PM. Officer received a complaint of a black Poodle dog running at large in the 300 block of east Division Street.  The officer was unable to locate the dog.

-6:13PM.  Officer was asked to do a welfare check on children at an Ogden residence.  The children were fine.

-7:15PM.  Officer assisted Boone County Conservation Officer with a traffic stop.

 

Saturday September 14 2019

-3:45PM.  Officer returned call to subject in regards to child visitation.

-11:53PM.  Deputy removed bat from Ogden residence.

 

Sunday September 15, 2019

-9:07AM.  Normagene Wilson of 314 SW 4th reported that in the last week someone has taken 18 bundles of new shingles and a pallet from her driveway.

-9:34AM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-12:49PM.  Officer responded to an incomplete 911 call from 519 S 1st Street.  There was no emergency and resident denied even using the phone.

-4:00PM.  Officer responded to a report of an accident on the westbound on ramp to 220th Street from H Avenue.  There was no damage, but subject did have to drive into ditch to avoid a collision.

-5:45PM.  Deputy assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

Monday September 2, 2019

-12:41PM.  Officer received information that 2 missing juveniles from Ames were possibly in Ogden.  Officer spoke with parent at residence, where juveniles were reported to be and she said her daughter had seen snap chat posts of the girls being in Madrid 2 days ago.

-2:45PM.  Officer responded to the old Howe Elementary Building on a report of 4 juveniles were seen entering the building.  Officer located 4 male juveniles inside of the building.  The custodian did not wish to press charges, however, he did say that he would have the juveniles help do some cleaning this week.

-4:55PM.  Deputy assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

 

Tuesday September 3, 2019

-10:05AM.  Ogden resident called wishing to speak with an Officer.  She had 2 female juveniles show up during the night and they are reported as runaways out of Ames.  Officer notified Ames PD.  Ames PD notified the girls’ mother and she came and picked them up.

-11:12AM. Ogden resident reported getting a phone call from someone claiming to be from IRS and stated that his social security number had been compromised.  The officer advised this is a scam and that he should check his credit report and freeze his credit as a safety precaution.

-12:00PM.  Officer received a complaint of someone burning brush.  The officer spoke with subject burning brush and advised to pour water over the fire.  The officer advised residents of Ogden can only burn April 15-May 15; and October 1-November 15.

 

Wednesday September 4, 2019

-11:16AM.  Officer provided a funeral escort from Zion Lutheran Church east to 1st Street and then north out of town.

-3:00PM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-7:33PM.  Officer received a report of a male subject sitting on side of the road in the 100 block of NW 7th Street.  Officer was unable to locate the subject.

 

Thursday September 5, 2019

-12:38AM.  Officer assisted Boone PD officer and Boone County Deputies with a motorcycle rider that would not stop for the Boone officer.  They finally stopped the motorcycle rider in the 500 block of 219th.

-11:03AM.  Ogden resident reported that she had received a letter in the mail claiming she had won $25,000.00.  In the letter, there was a check that she was supposed to deposit in her bank account and then call a number in the letter and speak with a claims agent to activate the check.  The agent then advised her to go and buy 4 $450.00 Best Buy Gift Cards.  The Ogden resident thought this sounded like a scam, so she called the police.  The officer advised her that if you win a prize, you do not have to purchase or send any money to collect the prize, so this is a scam.

-11:20AM.  Officer received a report of a male student that had left the Ogden Middle School/High School Property.  The student had walked home and his father was there and brought the student back to school.

 

Friday September 6, 2019

-10:45AM.  Ogden resident reported that her white Husky dog had gotten loose.

-1:40PM.  Officer returned property to Ogden resident.

-3:50PM.   Officer was called to an Ogden resident for an adult female that was out of control.

-5:55PM.  Officer received a report of a small female child sitting very close to the road in the 800 block of N 1st Street.  Officer located the child and took her back up closer to her house and notified her mother of the situation.

-7:00PM.  Officer received a complaint of 2 male juveniles throwing rocks at windows of old Howe Elementary Building.  The officer was unable to locate the juveniles.  There were no windows broken.

 

Saturday September 7, 2019

-3:09PM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

-3:39PM.  Jessica Peterson said there were 3 people on her property and she would like them to leave.  Officer spoke with subjects and advised them to leave, which they did.

-4:00PM.  Officer returned property to subject.

-4:30PM.  Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a call at ACCURA Health Care.

-6:20AM. Officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a single vehicle accident at L Ave. and 216th St. Officer’s never located a vehicle.

-10:14AM. Officer assisted with a child exchange at Casey’s.

-10:30AM. Officer assisted with a child custody matter at 525 N. 1st St.

-12:03PM. Officer investigated a child custody issue.

-1:56PM. Officer investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 100 blk of W. Locust St.

-8:20AM.  Officer assisted landlord with vehicle that has been abandoned on property.

-1:10PM.  Officer assisted subject whose truck had stalled in middle of road.

-9:58PM.  Officer assisted Ogden Fire with a fire alarm at Ogden High School.  This was determined to be a faulty detector.

-10:30AM.  Russ Stevens, 501 West Division Street, reported someone stole approximately 10 gallons of gas from his pickup truck, while it was parked outside of his residence last Saturday evening.

 

Wednesday August 28, 2019

-9:41AM.  Officer was called to ACCURA Healthcare to speak with a male resident, who has been harassing another male resident.

-12:30PM.  Officer caught a Golden Retriever dog that was running loose.  The officer put the dog back into the fenced backyard of residence.

-12:43PM.  Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at an Ogden residence.

-1:22PM.  Ogden resident called in about a sick raccoon in his backyard.  The raccoon was dispatched and disposed of.

-3:30PM.  Officer received several reports of a phone scam.  The caller claimed to be from the IRS and was claiming the subject’s social security number had been suspended and to call in to get this taken care of.

-7:15PM.  Deputy received a complaint from an Ogden resident, who said she was being harassed via the telephone.

 

Thursday August 29, 2019

-11:13AM.  Officer received a complaint of obscene words being painted on a garden shed at 619 W Maple #1.  Officer stopped by to speak with resident, but nobody was home.

 

Friday August 30, 2019

-11:50AM Officer removed debris from the road on the EB on ramp to hwy 30.

-1:35PM. Officer investigated a possible restraining order violation.

-3:55PM Officer assisted Ogden Fire Dept with a car fire in the 1500 blk of G Ave.

 

Saturday August 1, 2019

-6:30PM. Deputy assisted a subject with a child welfare matter at 822 N. 1st St.

 

Sunday September 1st, 2019

-9:53AM. Officer  recovered lost property in the 300 blk of E Maple St.

-2:51PM. Officer received a complaint on a possible intoxicated driver on highway 30. Driver was ok.

-3:07PM. Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at 229 W. Locust St. It was a false alarm.

-3:20PM. Officer spoke to a subject at 526 NE 2nd St. ref abandoned property.

-10:36PM. Deputy investigated suspicious activity at 526 SE 2nd St.

Monday August 19, 2019

-6:14AM.  Officer assisted stranded motorist.

-8:34PM.  Deputy received a report from an Ogden resident that his dog had gotten out of the house.  The resident called back a short time later, advising that he had found his dog.

-11:18PM.  Deputy responded to a report of 4 individuals running past apartment building at 425 SE 2nd Street.  The Deputy was unable to locate any individuals in the area.

 

Tuesday August 20, 2019

-8:47AM.  Officer responded to a 2-vehicle accident involving property damage.  Joelle Consier, 16, of Ogden was driving a 2014 Chevrolet southbound in the 100 block of NW 4th Street.  Joelle pulled away from the stop sign to go east on Walnut Street and did not see a 1993 Dodge being driven by Dennis Vonnahme, 70, of Ogden who was westbound on Walnut Street. There was approximately $3,000.00 damage to the Consier vehicle and approximately $1,500.00 damage to the Vonnahme vehicle.

-9:10AM.  The manager of Caseys General Store reported that a white male had entered the store and left without paying for 2 items.  The male got into a gray Ford F150 and left.

-10:00AM.  Officer removed a bat from a residence.

-11:34PM.  Resident at 301 SW 3rd reported that someone was knocking on his windows.  The Deputy was unable to locate anyone in the area.

 

Wednesday August 21, 2019

-4:40PM.  Employees with Johnson & Sons Insurance called to say that found a battery powered hover board just south of office.  Deputy picked up the hover-board and took to Ogden Police Department.

 

Thursday August 22, 2019

-7:58AM. Officer received a report of a loose dog.

-8:39AM. Officer assisted a subject with a bat in the house.

-2:08PM. Officer assisted a subject with a stranded vehicle in the 400 blk of East Walnut St.

 

Friday August 23, 2019

-9:30AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 631A Haws Drive.

-2:15PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 101 E. Elm St.

-6:34PM. Deputy responded to the 600 block of West Locust for a loose animal complaint.

-11:11PM.  Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 413 E Mulberry.

 

Sunday August 25, 2019

-7:20AM.  Officer received a report of a reckless driver eastbound on 220th from Ogden.  The vehicle was stopped by a Boone Police Officer at Kate Shelley Drive and 220th.

-7:50AM.  The manager of Caseys General Store called to report a vehicle that has been parking on property without permission.  The officer had the communications center try to make contact with owner of vehicle.  A message was left on answering machine.

-3:42PM.  Officer was called to an Ogden residence to assist subject with oxygen machine.  The officer plugged the oxygen machine in, so the battery could charge. The subject denied medical attention.  A family friend stayed with subject, until a family member could get there.

Monday August 12, 2019

-9:30AM.  Officer was dispatched to check on a male subject who was reported to be walking east on 220th Street near Beaver.  The officer picked up the subject and gave a ride to gas station at Highway 141 and Highway 169 interchange.

-2:10AM.  Officer received a complaint of subjects driving across private property in the 500 block of S 1st Street.  Officer contacted the property owner where the cars were leaving from and asked to tell visitors to stop driving on the neighbor’s property, when they leave.

-6:13PM.  Deputy responded to a 2-vehicle accident in the Dollar General Parking Lot.  This was a minor accident and no state report was filed.

-11:57AM  Deputy received  report of a female walking around 513 SW 5th Street.  The deputy was unable to locate the individual.

 

Wednesday August 14, 2019

-5:32PM.  Deputy received a report of a subject being bitten by a dog in the 300 block of west Walnut Street.

-6:14PM.  Deputy assisted subject who needed a ride to Ames.

-8:53AM.  Deputy assisted Ogden resident remove a bat from home.

-2:42PM.  Deputy was asked to check on welfare of an Ogden resident.  The deputy made contact with subject and he was fine.

-11:33AM.  Officer was asked to check on welfare of an Ogden resident because family members were unable to make contact with him.  The resident had been taken to hospital 2 days earlier and was still there.

-8:53PM. Deputy responded to an Ogden residence in regards to subject picking up the rest of her belongings.

-8:59PM.  Deputy responded to an Ogden residence in regards to a possible domestic situation.  The male subject was not at the residence, when the deputy arrived.

-9:03PM.  Deputy was asked to check on welfare of a child.  The child was fine.

 

Sunday August 18, 2019

-10:53AM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-1:05PM.  Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at the Old Howe Elementary Building.  The officer met with custodian and checked the building.  There was nobody in the building and all doors were secure.

-4:55PM.  Deputy was called to an Ogden residence to stand-by while female picked up belongings.

Monday August 5, 2019

-10:34AM.  Deputy attempted to make contact with Ogden resident in regards to her Facebook post claiming she had been assaulted.

-1:02PM.  Ogden resident who lives in the 400 block of SE 2nd reporting that someone is ringing his doorbell at night and running away.

-11:24PM.  Deputy assisted stranded motorist.

 

Tuesday August 6, 2019

-12:12AM.  Deputy responded to a possible domestic situation at 519 NW 6th Street.  This was determined to be a verbal argument only.

 

Wednesday August 7, 2019

-10:26AM.  Officer was asked to check on welfare of an Ogden resident.  The resident was at home and doing okay.

-6:20PM.  Deputy assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-8:00PM.  Deputy picked up an Ogden resident for a court ordered committal and took to Boone County Hospital.

-10:11PM.  Deputies responded to report of 2 subjects acting suspicious in the 400 block of West Walnut Street.  The deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area.

 

Thursday August 8, 2019

-11:15AM.  Officer received a complaint of a dog running loose in the area of 620 W Walnut Street.  Dog belonged to resident at this location.  The dog had jumped through a screen to get out of apartment.  Officer notified owner to come and get the dog.

-3:57PM.  Ogden officer and Boone County Deputy checked on welfare of an Ogden resident.

 

Friday August 9, 2019

-7:50AM.  Officer received a complaint of 2 dogs running loose in the 200 block of west Veterans Drive.  The officer caught the dogs and took to the Boone Area Humane Society.  The dogs were micro-chipped, so the owner was identified and notified where he could pick up the dogs.

-11:45AM.  Officer returned phone call to subject reference possible stolen items.  This was a civil issue.

 

Saturday August 10, 2019

-12:46PM.  Officer was called to Ogden Food Mart for 2 juvenile shoplifters.  There were no charges filed.

-1:35PM.  Officer was asked to check on welfare of dog in a parked car.  The windows were down in the car, but the Officer notified the owner to roll the windows up and turn the car on with air conditioner running.

-3:1PM.  Officer was called to an Ogden residence in regards to a domestic dispute between an 18-year-old male and his mother.  The mother just wanted the son to leave the residence.  The son left and no charges were filed.

-3:49PM.  Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-6:26PM.  Deputy received a report of a window being open on concession stand at Howe Elementary Ballfield.  The deputy secured the window.

 

Sunday August 11, 2019

-6:45AM.  Officer received a complaint of a semi-tractor-trailer parked on private property.  The officer was able to make contact with the driver and advised to move the vehicle off of private property and not park there in the future.

-2:05PM.  Officer received a complaint of pieces of broken concrete on the traveled portion of road on the on-ramp to eastbound 220th from H Avenue.  The officer removed the debris from the road.

-4:41PM.  Deputy responded to a report of a juvenile male out of control.  The boy had calmed down prior to deputy arriving.
