Monday September 14, 2020
-12:06PM. Officer received a complaint of a reckless driver westbound on 220th Street. Officer located and stopped the vehicle in the 100 block of west Division Street. The driver was not impaired.
-1:36PM. Ogden resident reported a possible identity theft.

Tuesday September 15, 2020
-7:24AM. Ogden resident reported missing several political signs from neighborhood 300 block SW 9th Street.
-3:56PM. Ogden resident reported having a ground hog in backyard. Officer caught groundhog and released out in county.
-6:30PM. Officer received a report of a mountain bike in the creek along bike trail west of Cemetery. Officer and street department superintendent took bike to city shed.

Wednesday September 16, 2020
-4:19AM. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the alley just south of Walnut in the 300 block of west Walnut. This person was getting items out of her storage unit.
-5:49AM. Officer assisted Boone County Ambulance at 307 SE 4th Street.
-4:52PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

Thursday September 17 ,2020
-5:52PM. Officer assisted motorist with a flat tire in the 1300 block of H Avenue.

Friday September 18, 2020
-12:04PM. Officer received a report of a possible impaired driver eastbound on 220th from D Avenue. The officer stopped the vehicle just east of I Avenue. The driver was not impaired.
-2:51PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputies, Ogden Fire, Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a single vehicle accident resulting in personal injury in the 800 block of 220th Street.

Saturday September 19, 2020
-11:46AM. Officer provided a funeral escort from Waters Edge Church to Glenwood Cemetery.

-9:17AM. Officer investigated vandalism to a fence at 108 W. Division St.
-11:03AM. Officer removed a large tree branch from the roadway in the 300 blk of SE 2nd St.
-11:09AM. Officer assisted Boone County Ambulance at 414 W. Cherry St.
-3:54PM. Officer checked on a vehicle in the ditch at 210th and H. Ave.
-5:41PM. Deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 100 blk of W. Veterans.

-7:40PM. Deputy received a report from Toni Hutchins of vandalism to valve stem on her vehicle.

Sunday September 6, 2020
-3:12PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-4:38PM. Employee of ACCURA Health called to report that a resident had walked away from the building. The resident had signed herself out and a family member came and picked her up.

Monday September 7, 2020
-12:15PM. Officer responded to an Ogden residence regarding a civil issue over a landlord fixing a door on a tenant’s property.
-2 :45PM. Officer assisted Ogden Fire Department with a garden shed that was on fire at 443 East Sycamore Street. Jessica Peterson, 37, of Ogden was burning construction waste and ashes caught the garden shed on fire. Peterson was cited for Open Burning Restrictions-1st offense.
-4:14PM. Officers responded to a complaint of a male and female arguing at 619 NW 4th Street. This was a verbal argument only and the male half had left the residence prior to officers’ arrival.
-5:38PM. Officer assisted Ogden Fire Department with the garden shed that had re-kindled at 443 E Sycamore Street.
-8:06PM. Officer received a complaint of subject burning at 507 E Walnut Street. The resident was burning a stump. The officer advised to put the fire out.

-12:29PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 619 Haws Drive #5.

-7:24AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

Thursday September 10, 2020
-7:35AM. Officer received a report of a reckless driver that was westbound on 220th Street and took the Ogden exit and proceeded north on 1st Street. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
-10:51PM. Deputy received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Ogden Elementary School. The deputy stopped and talked with the subjects and they were not from the area and claimed to be looking for an address. The subjects were going back to Ames.

-10:00AM. Officer assisted a stranded motorist at NE 4th St. and Locust St.

Monday August 24, 2020
-10:20AM. Officer received a complaint of possible harassment of an Ogden resident by a neighbor.
-10:44AM. Officer received a complaint of a barking dog in the 500 block of east Oak Street. Officer talked with owner of dog and advised to put the dog inside, when it starts barking.
-3:45PM. Officer received a report that an elderly male had stopped at a residence on east Maple Street claiming that he was looking for his grandson. The complainant thought this was suspicious. The officer located the subject in the 600 block of west Walnut and the subject advised he was trying to find his 19-year-old grandson Trevor Edel. Ogden Officer and Boone County Deputy were able to locate Edel at an Ogden residence. The officer and Deputy discovered there was a warrant for Edel out of Hamilton County, so the Deputy arrested Edel and transported to Boone County Jail.

Tuesday August 25, 2020
-9:36PM. Genny Westberg, 38, of Ogden reported that her ex-husband, Phillip Patten, 58, of Ogden has been drinking and took her vehicle without permission. Boone County Deputies stopped Phillip north of Boone and arrested for alleged Operating While Intoxicated. Genny was advised where her vehicle was at, so she could go and pick up.
-9:50PM. Deputy removed a bat from an Ogden residence.

Wednesday August 26, 2020
-8:21PM. Deputy received a complaint of an Ogden resident riding a 4-wheeler up and down the street in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street. The deputy was busy on another call at the time.

Thursday August 27, 2020
-6:11PM. Deputy arrested Sondra Millard, 38, of Ogden, on an outstanding warrant.
-10:47PM. Deputies responded to an Ogden residence, regarding a domestic situation. Deputies arrested Jordan Cook, 32, of Boone for alleged Domestic Abuse Assault.

Friday August 28, 2020
-6:45AM. Officer received a report that an elderly male had turned to short leaving the Caseys parking lot and hit the guard rail on north end of parking lot. Officer assisted subject getting his truck out of the guard rail.
-3:45PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a search warrant.
-4:45PM. Officer assisted looking for a subject that had run from an Iowa State Trooper in the 1900 block of I Avenue. The subject was located and arrested.

Saturday August 29, 2020
-6:01PM. Deputy received a complaint of a barking dog in the 400 block of E Walnut Street. The deputy advised owner to put dog inside.

Sunday August 30, 2020
-7:27AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-3:56PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-5:09PM. Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden Municipal Utilities building. There was an open door, but nothing appeared to be missing. An employee from Ogden Municipal Utilities secured the building.

-9:52AM. Ogden resident reported receiving scam phone calls from someone claiming to be from Social Security Administration.
-2:27PM. Deputy was asked to check on welfare of an Ogden resident. The resident was fine.
-6:36PM. Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden Business. The building was secure, and officer cleared the building with owner.

Wednesday August 19, 2020
-1:00PM. Officer received a report of a vehicle leaving the Grand Junction area east on 220th Street and the driver appeared to be slumping over the steering wheel, having trouble driving. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
-1:11PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 307 SE 4th Street.
-6:11PM. Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

Thursday August 20, 2020
-7:36AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-11:15AM. Ogden resident reported catching 2 of 3 dogs that were running at large. The officer picked up the owner of the dogs and gave a ride to residence where 2 of the 3 dogs were at. The third dog was home, when owner arrived back home with 2 dogs.
-2:10PM. Officer received a complaint of an 11-year-old male making threats online. The officer spoke with the juvenile and a grandparent and the juvenile explained it was part of the game FORTNITE.

Friday August 21, 2020
-9:48AM. Office investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 300 block of west Mulberry Street. Sue Erickson, 62, of Ogden was backing out of a parking space in a 2017 Toyota when she struck a 2010 Toyota that was eastbound on Mulberry being driven by Alexis Hamilton, 22, of Ankeny. There was approximately $1,000.00 damage to Erickson’s vehicle and $1,500 damage to Hamilton vehicle.
-10:24AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a traffic stop in the 400 block of 250th Street.
-6:22PM. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person pounding on a door at 507 W. Division Street. The deputy spoke with the person and he was going door to door selling Direct TV. The deputy advised the subject that he needs to contact city hall before going door to door. The subject and another male were going to leave town.

Saturday August 22, 2020
-7:32AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-9:30AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-11:38AM. Officer received a request from subject that was renting the Leonard Good Community Center, to have a pickup pulling a trailer moved, as it was taking up several parking spaces in the parking lot. The officer located the owner of the vehicle and asked to move the vehicle.
-9:45PM. Officer received a complaint of 6-7 juveniles both male and female had climbed on the roof of some business downtown. The juveniles had climbed down, prior to officer’s arrival and ran north across the railroad tracks.
-10:04PM. An Ogden resident reported that someone had rang her doorbell and banged loudly on her front door and ran away. This was in the 200 block of SW 2nd Street. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.
-10:21PM. Officer received a report of an adult male and adult female arguing in the Caseys General Store parking lot. The subjects were gone upon officer’s arrival.
-10:22PM. Officer spoke with 4 male juveniles in the 100 block of W. Veterans Drive. They claimed to be at skating rink earlier, then walked to city park when skating rink closed at 9:30PM, then walked down to Caseys to get something to drink and were waiting for a ride home to Boone.

Sunday August 23, 2020
-3:56PM. Officer received 2 reports of a white male that was going door to door asking for a ride to Boone. This was in 300 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was unable to locate the subject.

-10:40AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a tractor-trailer-semi that had flipped over in the high winds blocking northbound lane in 1700 block of H Avenue.
-1:45PM. Officer assisted city crews setting out barricades on streets with downed trees and power lines.
-7:08PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

Tuesday August 11, 2020
-8:15AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputies, Ogden Fire, Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a fatality accident involving a motorcycle and farm tractor pulling a trailer in the 1100 block of 220th Street.
-10:48AM. Ogden resident reported that her chocolate lab had runaway. The dog returned a short time later.
-6:07PM. Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden Business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

Wednesday August 12, 2020
-8:07AM. Officer responded to 114 W Sycamore for a dispute between 2 female residents. This was a verbal argument only.
-10:45AM. Ogden Officer and another Ogden resident assisted Ogden resident gain access to their home.
-3:25PM. Officer received a complaint of juveniles riding a golf cart around Howe School property. The officer spoke with individuals and advised to stay off of property with motor vehicles.
-6:00PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

Thursday August 13, 2020
-2:07PM. Ogden resident turned over a wallet and set of car keys the resident had found in the Walmart parking lot. The wallet belonged to another Ogden resident. The officer returned the wallet and car keys.

Friday August 14, 2020
-6:05AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-12:25PM. Clinton Mantz, 506 W Sycamore Street, reported that someone had taken a sign and metal edging off of his carport on south side of his residence.
-1:59PM. Ogden resident wanted to know name of people that owned house next to her, so she could notify them, that their tree fell into her yard. Officer advised she could look up owner of home on Beacon Schneider Boone County Iowa
-7:09PM. Deputy received a request from Webster County Deputy to contact an Ogden resident in reference to poor driving in Webster County. The deputy was unable to locate the subject.

Saturday August 15, 2020
-10:31AM. Officer assisted Ogden resident with a bat in the house.
-2:00PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with cattle in the ditch in 500 block of 220th Street.
-2:40PM. Officer advised Ogden resident he couldn’t burn his branches and leaves.
-5:53PM. Brian Heck reported that his neighbor was in alley behind 518 W Sycamore wetting the ground and trying to pull a property pin. Boone County Deputy responded.

Sunday August 16, 2020
-6:41PM. Ogden resident called and asked for officer to check on her husband who had gone outside and had been gone for quite a while. The caller was confined to her bed, so she could not check for herself. The husband was inside the home, when officer arrived

Monday August 3, 2020
-12:16PM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 100 block of west Veterans Drive. Derrik Bauer, 38, of Jefferson, was driving a 2014 Ram and pulling out of Caseys parking lot to go west on Veterans, when he struck a 2016 Honda driven by Tim Clark, 61, of Ogden who was eastbound on Veterans Drive. There was approximately $1,200.00 damage to each vehicle.
-2:10PM. Officer assisted Ogden Fire Department with a dumpster on fire at 219 W Chestnut.
-3:15PM. An Ogden resident reported that she was receiving numerous phone calls from 2 different numbers asking for a subject that does not live at her residence. The officer advised to not answer the calls if she did not know who was calling and to see about having the numbers blocked.
-4:31PM. James Comer reported that someone appears to have punched the side of his trailer, leaving dents.
-6:28PM. Officer received a report of 2 ferrets running loose in the 400 block of W Cherry Street.

Tuesday August 4, 2020
-11:40AM. An Ogden resident reported a phone scam. The resident said that she received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration. The person said that the resident’s Economic Impact Check due to the Coronavirus would be suspended if the resident did not verify her social security number. The resident did not give any information. This is a scam. The Social Security Administration or any government agency will not call you by phone and they will not ask you to verify your information over the phone. Persons are warned to never give any personal information over the phone.
-2:14PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-10:41PM. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious subject who had been standing in the Zion Church parking lot for approximately 2 hours. The deputy spoke with a female and gave her a ride to her residence.

Wednesday August 5, 2020
-9:42AM. Officer received a report of cattle on the roadway in the 1500 block of H Avenue. The owner of the cows had back on his property upon officer’s arrival.

-10:12AM. Officer received a complaint of a missing bike from 325 SW 7th St. Place. The bike is a 20” BMX type bike, blue/white in color with blue rims.
-11:39AM. Officer provided a funeral escort from Carson/Stapp Funeral Home to Glenwood Cemetery.
-1:48PM. Ogden resident reported that he had just received a phone scam.
-3:41PM. Kathy Weber, 608 W Division, reported that her dark gray tabby cat with white chin and a chest stripe has been missing since Monday.

-10:26PM Officer received a complaint of a reckless driver on highway 169. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

-8:28PM. Deputies responded to a report of 2 males yelling at one another somewhere near the NE 3rd railroad crossing. The deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area.

-12:20AM. Deputy received information on a missing person from Ogden. Family was notified and went to pick him up.
-4:48PM. Ogden resident called in and advised she had caught a cat that was running at large. The Boone Area Humane Society was called to come and pick up the animal.
-6:21PM. Deputy received a complaint of a female subject in the 100 block of E Locust Street displaying a TASER in front of children. Deputy spoke with the female.

-10:04AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 102 E. Locust St.
-11:15AM. Officer cited Chalon Engleen, 57, of Ogden, at 619 NW 4th St. for alleged nuisance property.
-1:30PM. Officer removed debris from the roadway in the 700 blk of 216th st.
-2:53PM. Officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a fight at Don Williams Park.
-4:00PM. Officer did a welfare check on an animal at 332 SW 7th St. Place. The animal had food and water.
-5:37PM. Officer attempted to locate a reckless driver between Boone and Ogden. Officer was unable to locate.

Sunday August 2, 2020
-9:00AM. Deputy received a complaint from an Ogden resident in regards to a phone scam the resident had just received.
-5:26PM. Officer received a report of a possible disabled vehicle at the westbound 220th off-ramp to H Avenue. The subjects were fine, they were changing a child’s diaper.
7:40PM. Officer received a complaint of burning. Subject was burning brush. Officer advised of burn ordinance and the subject put the fire out.
-9:33PM. Officer checked on a disabled vehicle in the 300 block of west Walnut Street. The driver had a tow truck coming to assist him.

-9:58AM. Officer returned phone call to Ogden resident regarding child being harassed via an internet game.
-2:13PM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident at S 1st and Veterans. There was less than $1,500 damage, so no state report was filed.
-6:15PM. Deputy received a complaint from an Ogden resident of being harassed by another parent due to an incident that happened between their kids.

-8:02AM. ACCURA Health administrator reported an altercation that had taken place between two (2) residents on Monday, July 13, 2020. There were no injuries.
-11:10AM. Officer spoke with Ogden resident about cleaning up property.

Thursday July 16, 2020
-8:30AM. Officer received a report of a possible accident in the 700 block of H Avenue. The officer checked the area and there were no vehicles around.
-4:28PM. Deputy received a complaint of 2 old refrigerators sitting in backyard at 520 S 1st Street. The deputy advised he would talk with landlord tomorrow.

Friday July 17, 2020
-7:58AM. Ogden officer spoke with landlord about 2 refrigerators that are sitting in backyard of a rental property. Landlord advised he would move the refrigerators.
-8:40AM. Subject turned in a chain saw that he watched fall out of the back of a pickup truck as it turned east on Walnut Street from NW 4th Street. The chain saw may be claimed at Ogden Police Department.
-11:45AM. Officer received a report of an adult male and a 10-year-old male child, who was nude, standing on shoulder of eastbound lane of 220th Street on west side of river. Officer and deputy checked the area and were unable to locate the individuals.

Saturday July 18, 2020
-11:59AM. Officer was asked to check on welfare of 2 dogs that were outside. The dogs were inside house, when officer arrived, and were in good shape.
-2:55PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a car verses motorcycle accident resulting in minor personal injury at J Avenue and 216th Drive.

Sunday July 19, 2020
-1:25PM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a car/deer accident in 1300 block of H Avenue.
-2:45PM. Officer located a water leak at NW 2nd and Chestnut. Officer notified Ogden Municipal Utilities.
-3:35PM. Officer was asked to look for a vehicle all over the road from 290th Street northbound on H Avenue. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
-3:47PM. Officer assisted stranded motorist in the 600 block of 260th Street.
-10:37PM. Deputy responded to a male juvenile out of control at 413 W Division Street

-9:17AM. Ogden resident reported receiving a phone scam. Someone called claiming his social security number had been breached and he needed a new one. The caller gave no information out.
-10:21AM. Officer spoke with resident regarding property needing mowed.
-12:05PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-1:00PM. Officer opened Community Center for Life Serve Blood Drive.
-4:24PM. Ogden resident reported that his 12-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted in Boone on July 4, 2020. Officer advised the subject to contact Boone Police Officer.

Tuesday July 7, 2020
-9:45AM. An Ogden resident reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration. The subject claimed that Ogden resident’s social security number had been compromised. The Ogden resident did not give out any information, because he thought this was a scam. The officer advised this is a scam.

Wednesday July 8, 2020
-9:00AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputies, Ogden First Responders, Ogden Fire, Boone County Ambulance and Iowa State Patrol with a 2-vehicle accident at H Avenue and 170th Street resulting in a fatality and personal injury.
-11:00AM. James Walters reported that someone took his 1988 Chevrolet 1500 truck from outside of his residence after 10:30PM on Monday, July 6, 2020 and before 9AM Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
-11:38AM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the 400 block of E Maple Street. Judy Keel, 61, of Ogden was backing her 2005 Chevrolet out of a driveway and struck a 2004 Chevrolet driven by Dennis Good, 59, of Ogden who was eastbound on Maple Street. There was approximately $2000.00 damage to the Keel vehicle and approximately $3,000.00 damage to the Good vehicle.
-4:30PM. Boone County Conservation Officer located 1988 Chevrolet pickup that had been reported stolen earlier. The truck was located at Don Williams Lake campsite, near the bath house.

-11:16AM. Ogden resident reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration and requesting resident to verify his social security number. The resident did not give out any information, knowing this is a scam.

-8:45AM. Officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the 200 block of NE 2nd Street. This vehicle turned out to be a vehicle that was reported stolen from a rural Boone County address on July 7, 2020. The owner was notified to come and get the truck.
-9:40AM. Officer picked up a small dog that was running loose and returned to owner.
-3:42PM. Officer received a written complaint about condition of a property.
-6:04PM. Deputy returned a phone call to an Ogden resident who had questions about taking his son to be tested for drug use.
-11:22PM. Deputy assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-4:14PM. Deputy responded to a report of loud music at 602 W Cherry Street. Deputy advised subjects having a cookout to turn the music down.
-10:54PM. Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Dollar General. This was set off by an employee who was locking up for the evening.
