-1:35PM. Ogden resident asked Officer how to dispose of old insulin. The officer advised to empty the insulin into kitty litter and then dispose in the trash.
-3:10PM. Officer gave a male teenager a ride home. The subject was having extreme back pain and having trouble walking.
-3:45PM. Officer spoke with subject regarding a parking issue on Walnut Street.
-9:21PM. Officer assisted Deputy looking for a subject who had made suicidal comments and his phone had pinged an area in SW Ogden. Officer and Deputy were unable to locate.

Wednesday January 13, 2021
-3:44PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-4:00PM. Officer assisted Ogden resident in removing an unwanted subject from his premises.
-4:10PM. Officer led a birthday parade for an Ogden resident.

Thursday January 14, 2021
-6:11AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders lifting an elderly male that had slipped out of chair and needed assistance standing up.
-7:28AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-11:50AM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident at SW 4th and Mulberry. Ricky Hamilton, 59, of Ogden was backing his 2013 Ram out of a parking space and ran into a 2011 Toyota driven by Sylvia Dunkelberger, 73, of Ogden who was stopped at the eastbound stop sign on Mulberry at SW 4th. There was no damage to Hamilton’s vehicle and approximately $2,000 damage to Dunkelberger’s vehicle.
-6:20PM. Deputy responded to a domestic situation at 220 NE 4th Street. Deputy gave the male half a ride to Rippey for the evening.

Friday January 15, 2021
-10:57AM. Officer investigated a minor car accident involving a street sign at NW 7th and Elm St.
-3:47PM. Officer investigated a suspicious person walking on the railroad tracks. Officer spoke to the subject and gave him a ride home.

Saturday January 16, 2021
-12:09AM. Deputy responded to 420 W. Cherry St. to assist Ogden First responders.
-11:44AM. Officer assisted with traffic control for a funeral escort going to Boone.
-1:13PM. Officer assisted a subject with a suspicious vehicle that was possibly involved in a theft. Vehicle was located in Boone.

-11:15AM. Officer provided a funeral escort from Community Methodist Church to Glenwood Cemetery.
-11:35AM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

Tuesday January 5, 2021
-8:30AM. Paul Fangman, of Fang’s Automotive, reported a vehicle has been left on his property and he does not know who owns it. Officer ran the V.I.N. to see who vehicle is registered to. The officer asked a Boone PD officer to contact with owner. The Boone officer made contact and advised the owner that an Ogden officer would be contacting him.
-12:20PM. Ogden resident requested a copy of a report. Officer advised that she could pick up the report at Ogden City Hall after paying the fee.
-5:20PM. Deputy assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-9:22PM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

-1:38PM. Officer removed debris from the roadway in the 600 blk of 220th street eastbound.

-8:00AM. Officer assisted Ogden First responders at 425 NE 3rd St.
-9:52AM. Officer spoke to a Ogden resident reference suspicious activity.
-2:51PM. Officer spoke to Ogden Highschool staff reference suspicious activity.

Saturday January 9, 2021
-4:38AM Deputy investigated a domestic assault at 244 SW 4th St. Deputy arrested Dane Erickson, 20, of Ogden, for alleged domestic assault.
-9:27AM. Officer spoke with Ogden resident about mattress/box spring that had been setting in the parking for a couple months. Resident said that he would contact his garbage hauler and have them pick up.

Monday December 28, 2020
-2:18AM. Caseys employee reported that some unknown male was knocking on the door and window wanting to come inside because he was cold. The employee asked for an officer to respond. A Boone County Deputy spoke with the subject, who advised he lives in Jefferson. The Deputy gave the subject a ride to Grand Junction.

Tuesday December 29, 2020
-4:50PM. Deputy did a welfare check at 822 N. 1st St.
-5:23PM. Deputies responded to 201 NE 4th St. Place for a burglary. Deputies arrested Sondra Millard, 38, of Ogden, for alleged trespassing.

Wednesday December 30, 2020
-9:14AM. Officer investigated a complaint of fraudulent credit card use.

Thursday December 31, 2020
-10:39AM. Officer observed a mailbox knocked down that belonged to 319 SW 7th Street residence. Officer notified the owner.
-11:48AM. Officer provided a funeral escort from Zion Lutheran Church to Glenwood Cemetery.

Friday January 1, 2021
-10:45AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-1:45PM. Officer spoke with resident about clearing snow from sidewalk.
-7:04PM. Rocky Burrill reported his brown/white female American Dingo dog got out of fenced in yard again.

-1:40PM. Officer assisted stranded motorist in the 400 block of SW 4th Street.

Sunday January 3, 2021
-1:35AM. Officer assisted Deputies with a traffic stop in the 800 block of 220th Street. This was regarding a male subject displaying a firearm to a female subject in Boone. The Boone County Deputy detained the subject and transported back to Boone PD.
-3:42PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

-8:12AM Officer assisted a subject with a civil stand-by at Casey’s.
-11:40AM. Officer received an animal complaint at 519 W. Cherry St.
-6:30PM. Deputy did a welfare check on a subject at 513 NW 3rd St.

-No reported activity.

Wednesday December 23, 2020
-12:02AM. Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at Caseys. This was set-off accidentally by an employee while leaving the store.
-11:50AM. Subject called officer and advised he was in the automatic car wash down by Caseys and the door will not open all the way, so he could drive out. The entry door finally opened, and the driver was able to back out. Officer notified owner of the car wash.
-12:20PM. Subject called and advised that she was in the automatic car wash by Caseys and the door will not open, so she can drive out. Officer advised her to be ready for the entry door to open, so she can back out. The officer notified the owner of the car wash.
-1:00PM. UPS driver reported a vehicle that was following him around and acting suspicious.
-8:25PM. Officer was asked to check on stranded motorist 1 mile north of Ogden on H Avenue. There were private citizens that had stopped to help the people upon officer’s arrival.
-10:28PM. Ames PD asked Ogden officer to look for a vehicle registered to an Ogden resident and observe if it had any front-end damage. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Thursday December 24, 2020
-5:24AM. Officer and Boone County Deputy responded to an attempted Breaking and Entering at Swanson Drug. Alarm company reported that a door was open, but officer and deputy found all doors secured, but could see where one door and been attempted to open. No entrance was gained.
-7:53AM. Officer spoke with owner of building in downtown area and asked her to advise her tenant about parking regulations, due to the fact the subject would not come to the door.
-3:12PM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-4:21PM. Officer received a report of a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner westbound on 220th from J Avenue. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Friday December 25, 2020
-12:22AM. Deputies assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at an Ogden residence.
-3:45PM. Officer was called to an Ogden residence because a father that was there to pick up his daughter appeared to be under the influence. Officer spoke with the father and he did appear under the influence of something. The subject tested negative for alcohol but appeared to be having a reaction to medicine that he had just taken. Officer contacted a friend of the subject to come and give him a ride home.
-11:35PM. Officer received a complaint of a female subject that a dropped a pipe believed to be used to smoke methamphetamine and it broke, subject picked up pieces and got into her car and left. This occurred in the Ogden Caseys, 30 minutes prior to officer being called.

Saturday December 26, 2020
-1:35PM. Officer returned call to a subject reference child custody agreement. Officer advised this is a civil issue and subject needed to contact attorney.
-7:15PM. Deputies responded to an Ogden residence regarding a teenage female threatening suicide. Parent transported female subject to hospital for evaluation.
-11:46PM. Deputies responded to a possible fight at Spinning Wheels Skating Rink. There were a group of young people arguing but had separated upon deputies arrival.

Sunday December 27, 2020
-12:49AM. Deputy cited Robert Meyers, 45, of Ogden for Driving while license suspended.
-12:59AM. Deputies responded to a family disturbance at 305 E Walnut Street. This was verbal only and the subjects were going to separate for the rest of night.

-8:25AM. Lisa Melchert report her Anatolian Shepherd dog got out of fenced in backyard.
-12:20PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-2:20PM. A United Parcel Service Driver reported that a female in a red Nissan was following him and taking pictures.

-8:43AM. Officer responded to the Ogden High School for a student having medical problems.
-10:24AM. Officer cited and released Barry Scarcello, 63, Ogden for driving without a valid driver license.

Thursday December 17, 2020
-9:45AM. Officer assisted stranded motorist.
-9:58AM. Officer assisted Ogden resident that had fallen and needed help standing up.
-10:55AM. Officer received a complaint about barking dogs in the SW part of town. Complainant advised this happens regularly in late afternoon and early evening. Officer advised complainant to call when dogs are barking.
-1:07PM. Officer spoke with owner of a vehicle that was parked in the roadway in 300 bock of west Locust Street. The owner advised it had quit running, but he would be having it removed before dark.

-9:19AM. Officer received a question about parking in front of the McGraw Senior Citizens Center.

-2:00AM. Deputy assisted Ogden First Responders with a lift assist of an Ogden resident.
-9:40AM Officer assisted citizens with a building issue.

-11:57AM. Officer assisted Ogden Fire Department in the 300 blk of NW 3rd St. with a accidental gas line break.
-1:32PM. Officer assisted a Boone County Deputy at Rose Hill cemetery 1173 Laurel Lane with a subject having health problems.

Monday December 7, 2020
-11:35AM. Officer assisted subject with an abandoned vehicle on his property.
-1:30PM. Ogden resident called City Hall to report a door-to-door salesman that came to his residence and was not wearing a mask. The complainant did not have a description of subject, car he was in or direction of travel. The officer was unable to locate the subject.

Tuesday December 8, 2020
-8:18AM. Officer received a call from a subject who needed help retrieving belongings from an Ogden residence. The officer advised that both parties must agree to what is leaving the premises or it stays. The officer advised this is a civil issue and the complainant should contact an attorney.

Wednesday December 9, 2020
-3:00PM. Officer returned a phone call to an Ogden resident regarding child custody issue.

-3:51PM. Officer spoke to a Ogden High School staff member reference a student possibly being assaulted earlier.

-5:42AM. Deputy assisted a subject with a disagreement at 114 W. Sycamore St.
-10:14AM. Officer assisted a subject with a phone scam.

Friday December 4, 2020
-12:31PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with a student that had fallen off slide at Ogden Elementary School.
-3:05PM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident at NW 4th and Cherry Street. Nicholas Sanders, 16, of Ogden was driving his 2000 Ford west on Cherry Street and was turning left onto NW 4th, when due to the sun he turned too short and ran into a 2004 Ford driven by Emma Moorman, 15, of Boone who was northbound on NW 4th Street. There was approximately $1,200 damage to the Moorman vehicle and $4,000 damage to the Sanders vehicle.
-3:23PM. Officer responded to a report of a suicidal teenager. The subject went to the hospital with father to be evaluated.

Saturday December 5, 2020
2:56PM. Officer received a complaint of 2 male subjects going door to door selling Kirby vacuum cleaners. Officer advised the subjects, they needed solicitor permits to go door to door in Ogden and the City Hall was not open, so they would have to stop until getting the permit on Monday.

-3:12PM. Ogden resident reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS. The resident did not give out any information.
-3:48PM. Officer assisted stranded motorist.
-6:52PM. Deputies responded to an Ogden residence for a 16-year-old male out of control.

Thursday November 26, 2020
-7:03PM. Officer assisted Boone PD, Boone County, Boone Fire, Boone County Ambulance and Iowa State Patrol by providing traffic control at L Avenue and 220th Street for an accident that occurred at 220th and Noble Hills PL.

Friday November 27, 2020
-12:16AM. Deputy responded to a complaint of someone ringing a doorbell of a residence in the 300 block of SW 4th and running away. The deputy was unable to locate anyone in the area.
-8:00AM. Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Vision Bank. This was set-off by employees.

Saturday November 28, 2020
-11:30AM. Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.
-2:10PM. Webster City Police Department reported they had recovered a 2000 Can Am Baja ATV that was stolen from Ogden in January 2019.
-11:48PM. Officer received a report of an assault that had taken place between 2 teenage females at Spinning Wheels Skating Rink. There were no charges filed.

-1:41PM. Officer received a complaint of a Great Dane dog running loose in the 100 block of West Chestnut. The officer located the owner and advised to come and get the dog.

Tuesday November 17, 2020
-3:30PM. Officer spoke with Ogden resident about junk in yard.
-8:01PM. Officer received a report of a male subject sleeping in a vehicle parked in the parking lot of Dollar General Store. The driver was just tired and was taking a nap.

Wednesday November 18, 2020
-9:10AM. Officer assisted Boone County Ambulance at 120 SE 4th Street.
-9:34AM. Officer spoke with resident at 305 E Walnut and asked to move vehicle off sidewalk.
-11:32AM. Officer was asked to check on welfare of an Ogden resident. The subject was fine.
-12:55PM. Officer assisted Ogden Fire Department with a fire at 320 W Elm Street.
-1:17PM. An Ogden resident reported receiving a suspicious package in the mail from Kazakhstan. The officer picked up the package and returned to the Post Officer, so they could turn over to their inspectors.

Thursday November 19, 2020
-3:24PM. Officer responded to a lifeline alert at an Ogden residence. This was a false alarm. The officer canceled Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-3:35PM. Officer returned a set of keys that were found earlier in the day to owner.
-5:20PM. Officer received a complaint of a fire in the alley north of 119 W Maple Street.
The fire was in a fire pit and there were people watching it.

Friday November 20, 2020
-3:10PM. Officer received a complaint of smoke coming from an unknown source in the SE part of town. The officer located a subject burning sticks and leaves in the 400 block of east Oak Street.

Saturday November 21, 2020
-12:55PM. Ogden officer and Ogden Fire Chief led a parade of family and friends past an Ogden residence, for a 7-year-old girl’s birthday.
-1:45PM. Officer delivered a Thanksgiving Basket from the Boone County Communications Center to an Ogden resident.

Sunday November 22, 2020
-7:04PM. Deputy assisted a stranded motorist at 102 W. Veterans. St.

Monday November 9, 2020
-8:40AM. Teresa Heck reported that a property pin had been removed from her father-in-law’s property at 518 W Sycamore Street.
-8:43AM. Officer investigated a 2-vehicle accident in the Ogden High School parking lot. A 2000 Ford was pulling into a parking space when he hit the open door on a 2013 Dodge Caravan. There was approximately $1,500 damage to the Dodge Caravan and no damage to the Ford.
-2:00PM. Officer received a report of a young female walking south from Casey’s in the rain. The officer spoke with the 17-year-old female and she said that she was walking back to Des Moines. Officer gave her a ride.
-4:00PM. Officers assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-5:17PM. Officer responded to a report of a domestic situation at 513 W Maple Street. This was a verbal argument only.

-12:35PM. Officer received a report of a black Dodge Caravan westbound on 220th from Boone driving erratically. The complainant advised the van exited into Ogden and proceeded west on Division Street. The officer located the van in the Ogden High School parking lot. The driver was a 16-year-old male and denied having any issues with his driving. The officer warned the subject on his driving habits.
-2:00PM. Officer spoke with resident about a pile of garbage bags on the outside of his residence. Subject said that he would take care of.

-7:53AM. Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with a single vehicle rollover involving personal injury in the 900 block of 216th Drive.
-9:00AM. Officer returned a phone call to a subject in regard to a question on burning a large tree pile.
-3:00PM. Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.
-5:10PM. Deputy was asked to perform a welfare check on an Ogden resident. The subject was calm when deputy arrived, but family members were going to take to hospital to be evaluated.

-9:25AM. Officer investigated a complaint of harassment at Accura Health.
-10:50AM. Officer investigated a verbal fight at 602 NW 4th St.
